I'm pleased Christmas is a laid back affair here! Just gorged on dinner & cake...CLEANING starts in the a.m.! Whirlwind of Mr. Bubbles et. al. December 25th* ★★★★*finished it in between the kids opening their Santa presents and the 10 hour long Christmas extravaganza @ the in-laws :)
This is hard to review here, because pretty much everything I can say will be a spoiler for anyone who hasn't finished the series. So I will just say that I loved it, but still can't bring myself to give a book in this series 5 stars, even the last, because of Faythe and her cruel selfishness, topped off with her ego-centric "oh, poor me, I just can't choose" crap.
I will say that I probably would have given it 5 stars if Marc walked away when she had a hard time deciding. If he would've said "You can have her--I have my pride." It made me angry to see him going against all that he was to play Faythe's games. And seeing Jace play the games willingly made me dislike him, which pissed me off as I really liked him in all the previous books.
But everything else concerning Malone & Alpha and the packs was great. I've just never liked the way Vincent threw the love triangle into this series. It's one thing to have a woman torn between 2 men. It's another to have her in a committed relationship with one man, then cheat on him with his friend, and decide it was more than just a fling and she "loves" both of them. And it also bugged me that people were easier on her about it (her father, mother, Vic, etc) when she said she "loved" both of them. I thought it made her worse. If you think you love 2 people so much that you can't decide between either and cruelly string both along, you don't love EITHER.

I agree about the triangle. I'm not a fan of the triangle, anyway *see above Werecat reviews* and that is why: poor Adrian. I have always been Team Dimitri, and was soooooo freakin' excited reading this book, but I like Adrian, and someone always gets hurt in a triangle, and the woman always looks like a bitch--can't be helped. ;)
Great review, Sabrina! I'm interested to see how the spin-off compares too, faves not included.
Hmmm, Sydney and Adrian, huh? I really liked her expanded appearance in the final book of the series. She's definitely more comfortable around them after spending so much time with Rose and Dimitri, but do you think she'd be open to a relationship?

This one started off alright. I enjoyed the world building but the story itself didn't really grab me until the last 100-150 pages or so. However, I immediately loved Curran, and I am so shipping him with Kate. She grew on me pretty quickly as well. I have every intention of reading the next in the series.
Just FYI:I'm still working on Every Which Way But Dead, which I'm quite liking, and about to start Moon Called
If you gave Magic Bites 4 stars, the others will be 5 starers for you--they just get better & better & better & better...Love that series. Love Kate. Love the Beast Lord. Love so many of the supporting characters. Sigh...

I liked this book very much. It started out pretty good and then just got better. I closed the book with a big grin on my face. I liked the characters very much although if I had to complain about anything, its that it felt like it wrapped up too quick and neat. I have every intention of reading the next one.

If you gave Moon Called 4 stars, you're going to love the others. :)

I'm loving this series more every book. I'm pleased as punch with the turn her love life has gone, I'm absolutely loving David but I'm sad about Jenks.
I cackled during the scene where Rachel and Jenks were in the limo. Oh, and Lee? Couldn't have happened to a nicer person.

Ok girls, time to rock the BINGO. We are the accursed group, we have lost 3 members since this sucker started. If I remember correctly (without going back to look through all the other group threads) one other group lost one member, and the other 3 still have all their original members. Everyone else has 5 members in each group, where we only have 4, and it's too late in the game to get a replacement. Which means we each must read a book for every future shelf. You all rock, so I'm not worried about it, but I just wanted to give a little coaches pep talk before the big game. :)ETA: Team 5 lost one member who was replaced, and team 4 lost 1 member, who was also replaced. We lost 1 member who was replaced. Then we lost another member, who was also replaced. And then we lost another member, no replacement.
As of Steph's last team stamp update on January 3rd, all 4 other teams had all their stamps. So now, with us having only 4 members, we have to rock it.
But really, it all depends on the shelves called. As of right now, looking at everyone's bingo cards, no one can win with the next shelf called. Everyone needs at least 2 shelves to win, so we're not in the clutch yet. But it's coming. :)

Ok girlies, the next shelf is Wishlist.It's basically a "read whatever you want" list, as there are 2000 pages on the shelf. Of the 13 books I am reading in January, 12 on on the Wishlist shelf. So...since no one really wants to scan through 2000 pages to find a book, here's Steph's easy way to do it:
Go to the book page for a book you want to read. Click on "popular shelves" over on the right hand side. "Wishlist" should be in the first column of popular shelves for the book, usually in the 1st 10 shelves listed.
If it's not, or you're having a hard time finding "Wishlist", hit CONTROL-F, and a little bar should show up on the bottom of your screen. Type "wishlist" into the search box and hit "Next" and your computer will look for the word "wishlist" and highlight it for you. You may have to scroll to the next page, but I doubt it. It's a popular shelf. :)

I think it was fate that I just picked up a copy of The Replacement at the library today.I think it was on the 2nd or 3rd page too so quick work of finding my Wishlist book.
As soon as I'm done with A Fistful of Charms that i started today while getting a pedicure. :D

Good luck with your cleaning, Laura! I always do that myself, planning what to do but 'forgetting' to do it. Here mom's the one cleaning though, so I won't have to do much. But she's the opposite; I don't think she ever sits down... Doesn't even know how to turn on a computer. ;) And she won't let anyone help her either, because no one does it 'right', haha.
