I'm finished Julia London's A Year of Living Scandalously. I liked it a lot, but I am so eager for her next Cedar Springs book that I think I'm going to be less than fully satisfied with any historical. Some strange pov stuff that I found confusing too.
I'm reading When Harry Met Sally now and finding it wholly improbable but such a fun read that I don't mind. I'll definitely be reading the rest of this series.

I just read Best Laid Plans also, and really liked it. I was disappointed in Midnight Kiss (I'm beginning to think maybe Carr has burned out on her Virgin nRiver series, but I'm hoping the new full length books will be better.) And I'm reading a Year of Living Scandalously. I need to get back to Crazy for Loving you, but with tomorrow's releases I think it will be a while. I want to be able to concentrate on it, and there's been a lot of stuff going on in my life lately...

Nice read, parts were annoying and I wouldn't call it a romance though there were romantic elements.
Manda, I found the heroine of WHMM a particular delight. I'm sure some people are going to be bothered by the sheer unlikelihood of the setup, but I'm not among them. I was wonderfully entertained.
Dls, I thought Midnight Kiss was disappointing too. I liked the hero of Robyn Carr's story a lot, but the heroine was a major orritant. I was disappointed in Jean Brashear's story too, and she's another whose books I usually love. Victoria Dahl's story was well done, I thought, but her contemps are just not my cup of tea.
I've read Carr's January book, Promise Canyon, and while I don't rank it as highly as the first three in the series, I thought it was among the strongest of those that followed.

I'm finishing up Gillian Shields Betrayal-loove it! and planning on starting Past Midnight by Mara Purnhagen.

The first book was Lorraine Heath's PASSIONS OF A WICKED EARL, the first in her new series. The second book was Mary Balogh's A CHRISTMAS PROMISE, a re-release of one of her out of print books.
I'm a little disappointed I have nothing that looks as promising to follow them up with.

I just read Happy Ever After. It didn't work at all for me. I never got any sense of what brought the two together: it was more obvious why Parker liked his mom! A big disappointment
I just downloaded Simply Irresistible, by Jill Shalvis. I've read such good reviews about this book!
Have you read her Instant books? I think the third one (with TJ and Harley, I think its Instant Gratification) is really good.
DLS, I haven't read that series. So far, I've only read Double Play and Get A Clue. I liked both of them I think I even used DOUBLE PLAY as one of my Monday Puzzlers over at the EJ/JQ BB.
I already know that I'm going to like Simply Irrisistible... I was sitting here reading and eating Salt & Vinegar potato chips, and Maddie's eating them in the car on the way to the Lucky Harbor Resort!! Also, loved the line Holy asphyxiation. Lol!!!

Aren't those Salt & Vinegar chips addicting, Monica? I'm the only one in my house that eats them so I try to find the little snack bag kind so I don't devour the whole big bag in one sitting (and then need to drink about a gallon of water to quench my thirst)! I discovered them about 25 years ago on my first cruise - I now know why they set them out on the bars - I drank like a fish on that vacation. LOL
I am reading The Devil Wears Plaidby Teresa Medieros. I am about a third of the way through it and it is really good so far!
Irisheyes, YES, those chips are DELICIOUS!! It's strange that I even like them, as I hate salt... but these are really the only potato chips that I like!
Kasey, I LOOOOOOVED THE DEVIL WEARS PLAID!!!!

I finished When Harry Met Mollyyesterday. What an absolutely delightful book! Wylene, you're right about the premise not being "believable" but I didn't care. I thoroughly enjoyed it and am looking forward to book two, Dukes to the Left of Me, Princes to the Right, which will be out on Nov. 30th.
Monica and PJ, I am having a hard time putting it down and working on other stuff. I'll probably finish it today. :)

I finished The Devil Wears Plaid last night and it was great. One of my favorite books this year!
Susan, I am sorry to hear that. What books where they, so I can avoid them?

I just finished Nalini Singh's 'Play of Passion' and I loved it! One of her best books. I'l start rereading Nalini's 'Angel Blood'
