I just ordered the first in the series from Amazon, along with a pre-order of Magic rises and another. Excited about starting it.

Mel (lemonie) | 162 comments Have to say really enjoyed the follow up to A certain slant of light by Laura Witcomb.

Under the light is a brilliant conclusion to the series and wraps all the loose ends neatly!

That's good to hear, it's been so long since I read the first one that I might need a re-read before jumping in on book 2.

Yes I did a quick re-read of ACSOL first and I found it really helped. definitely recommend doing that before reading Under the light

Shera (Book Whispers) (sherabookwhispers) | 2569 comments I'd say. It's been a long time since the first book came out and the 2nd one. I think I was in High School when I read it.

Megan (megandurrence) | 63 comments Darkhouse (Experiment in Terror, #1) by Karina Halle (Adult with a YA feel, probably considered NA) I didn't like the first book in Experiment in Terror the first time I read it, but I just recently gave it a second chance and absolutely loved it! The second one was even better.

I've also read Anna Dressed in Blood (Anna, #1) by Kendare Blake (YA) and thought it was awesome.

I noticed a few people talking about The Darkest Powers trilogy. I love those books! Chloe and Derek are so perfect with their imperfections. Makes me want to read them again!

message 65: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca | 6 comments I actually really liked Experiment in Terror and really liked the second one, too. The third, however, put me off in a big way, but that really came down to a personal dislike/pet peeve, so I wouldn't not recommend the series based on that. It's fun and different. =)

YES! These books are my favorites, I am yet to find anything that matches them. The sexual tension is fantastic. Had me nearly ripping out my hair, but oh, so good.

I am looking forward to checking out some of the recommendations here too, maybe I can find my new favorite series!

LOVE LOVE LOVE the entire Graveyard Queen Series -- there are four (4) books now -- the characters keep developing, mysteries get solved, more ghosts and supernatural happenings. Can't Wait for the next book! :)
