I thought the BOM had to be within the time frame of the game????? Doesn't really matter, I have several books I can use for the free space.

Not that I know of. Duke of Shadows is also my favorite by her.

Love the cover and the book inside is just as great!

Looks interesting, I love her other series so I might have to invest in this one too :)

I've just received through the post. I'm not as excited as I should be about it but I am curious as to what I think by the end of the book. I hope it wows me.

I'm reading Personal Demons. About 25% into it and enjoying it so far. Frannie's one lucky girl to have such hotties vying for her attention.

Ooops! It does. Sorry, I didn't really examine that rule closely enough.

I think this heat has fried my brain. But hey, things will be improving today. Heat index of only 113. If you haven't noticed yet, I really dislike hot weather.

I know exactly how you feel Daffodil. I don't even look at the heat index. It's bad enough just knowing we have had 38 days of 100+ heat here. It isn't even August yet!!!!

I've just started reading . I really enjoyed the first one. It's post-apocalyptic PNR with werewolves and very few women so they're all virgins which makes for hilarious reading when they use old romance novels as their dating guides.

I'm reading . I'm liking it, but not as much as I loved . I'm only 30% in though, so maybe that'll change. Not to mention that it's been 2.5 yrs in between books, so I've read a lot since the first in the series.

LOL Bookgirlie! You are not alone. This thread, and many others around SOS, have led me to build a TBR stack larger than I'd ever thought possible. :)

Sandra, is that a re-read or the first time you've read TtD? If it's new-to-you then I'm very glad you're enjoying it, IMO it gets better and better as they continue. I don't know if I've said this before (tehe), but Cassie Palmer is my fave series! :)

First time read for me, but I have read both Dorie's books.

So a new and interesting perspective on Louis-Cesare & Mircea.

Finished book #3 in Jayne Ann Krentz's Arcane series and started book #2 in Pamela Palmer's Feral Warriors series.

I just read divergent. Really good book! Cant wait for #2 which comes out on may 2012

Divergent is on my list, it is interesting how it seems people either love it or do not like it.

I need to catch up on the Cassie Palmer series -- I have to read 4. I need some more Pritkin!

Per my usual M.O. I am all over the place, I am reading:

I like Feed, I am about 35-40% in but I am not hooked. I am able to put it down for a few days. I am not bored by it, I do not dislike any of it at all -- just not compelling.

I'm reading and wondering what the heck took me so long to start this series! I was having a serious case of not wanting to go to work this morning so I could just stay home and read. :)

Steph.....oh Steph.....PLEASE don't tell me about yet ANOTHER LONG series that I must read.....my shelves have no room left!

Glad to hear that Steph! I've only recently added the whole series to my 'Better Late Than Never' challenge. Daunting but I'm slowly collecting all the books in the hope that I will get through them all - not at once though ;)

Steph that is frustrating. Sometimes I don't know if it is me that has changed or the series.

J. D. Robb (Nora Roberts)'s In Death series is sooooooo good; why not try them on audio; they have an excellent narrator.

I listened to the first 3 or 4 on audio, I agree the narration is good.

I'll have to look into the audio!

@Cindy - sorry, I couldn't help but try to spread the love! :) My to-read pile is absolutely huge. I don't think there's an end in sight! And what do I do, but keep coming on here and looking to see what everyone else is reading, which just ends up leading to more being put on my list!

LOL - I know. I do the same thing! I probably have 800 books physically in my house just waiting to be read. So.....what do I do?????

My grandson needed a book for a summer reading assignment. Didn't have it at Walmart or the HalfPriceBooks nearest me. Ended up going to 2 different B & N stores to get it. Bought and a book for my 4 yr old grandson. Then, got . SIGH.....too many books, not enough time!

That looks good, Amy. I need to get back into UF, that might be exactly the right book to do it.

Neck deep in Historical romance at the moment, and loving it. Never realised what wonderful writing there was in the genre. Finished recently and am impatiently waiting for all her other books to turn up in the mail.

Also, for all of you complaining about the heat, here's a nice cooling reminder of what winter feels like in my front yard:



It almost never snows here, so we were total tourists with it, it was great.

I feel cooler just looking at that pic! Thanks Moss! It's 104 here. I think this makes 42 days this year of 100+ temps, almost all of them consecutive days.

I wholeheartedly agree with the In Death thing happening above. Love that series. I've been getting them from the library as there are so many and I've got about 1200 books here to read & not enough space. Plus its cheaper :)

And Moss the Maddy Barone series starts with and is the second one. I think she said there will be 6.

Me too... I just started it since I've seen all the great comments, I hope my expectations aren't set too high:)

Finished and . Also finished listening to and , which was great in audio and a very good book that I wish was a series. Starting on next.

I was expecting a lot and initially wasn't sure. I like the beginning, but now I'm gettin' to the really good bits and YAY! I loooove hot dragons!

Making myself take a break from the In Death series so I can read . A friend loaned it to me and I promised her I'd make it the next book I read. So far, it's pretty good.
