Anika | 11 comments I've been on this group for some time but I don't think I introduced myself... anyways I'm Anika! :)

nightlyreadingheather (heatherhy01) Hi Anika and welcome back!

message 454: by Clementine (new)

Clementine (silentreverie) | 98 comments Hello, my name is Anna, and I like to read books. I stay at home all the time (but I'm not homeschooled), I don't know why. Probably because I can't stay outside too much -- my family has a history of Vitiligo and it scares me out of my wits.

I'm not actually boring to talk to, it's just that sometimes I'm not really into having a conversation.

I don't date. I don't like dates.
Anyway, no one asks me out. Apparently, I scare every boy I know. Accidentally on purpose. It's not my fault I look mean and I look like I want to kill them all the time.

I like teddy bears so much. I have this to help me with my life.

I want to make new friends here, for I don't do it when I'm in the 'real' world.

So, hello! :)

Girl! I do the same thing. I tend to look mean when random guys try to flirt or anything too friendly. I just prefer to keep my distance.

My my brother keeps telling me he is greatful for a sister who is school/career focus and is not in any hurry to get a boyfriend. :)

Welcome!

message 459: by Lauren (new)

Lauren Hey, Carolyn and Lea(that's cool you have a youtube readers review channel). :)

Hi! I'm LunaBeth, but everyone calls me Luna(and you can too). I'm 14 and a half, bday is September 26. I baby-sit full-time. No, I'm serious, it is a job. I "clock in" at 9AM, and then "clock out" at 2PM.
I act, sing, and model. Oh! And I play Piano. I'm also the oldest of seven kids. OH! And I'm a Mormon.

Hummm...fav book series are: Hunger Games, Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Gone, Clique, Alphas, Monster High, and SO many more. I love everything.

So yeah

message 461: by Eirian (new)

Eirian (EirianRane) | 164 comments Hi~ I'm Eirian; I love reading and writing as well as daydreaming on random book crossovers.

My favorite series is probably the Aubrey-Maturin series by Patrick O'Brian ^.^ [but I would read anything really (as long as there is no super-annoying character I can't stand)]

I basically love Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ and tend to read mostly YA Novels because I love them and because they're easier to access :]

Nice to meet everyone ^.^

nightlyreadingheather (heatherhy01) Hi Luna & Eirian!

message 463: by Amy (new)

Amy (ahunkins12) I am Amy...A mother of 4 and lover of YA books. 3 girls (Shelby, Rorye, & Jersey)and 1 boy (Tripp). I feel these books get right into a story instead of setting the scene for 100 pages like other books! Favorite book lame I know but Twilight. There are few others that are in the running, Body Finder series, Life as We Knew it series, Hunger Game series, and 13 Reasons Why. I would like to do non-series books but most of YA books are. Reading is my "adult" life..ha..ha..

message 464: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Scott (michellescottfiction) I'm also a mom, and I love to read YA books. I like everything from the Hunger Games and Speak to Twilight and Harry Potter.

I've written several books, and two of them are YA. Uncommon Magic by Michelle Scott is a fantasy romance and Blood Sisters by Michelle Scott is a vampire romance.

message 474: by Kristine (new)

Kristine Lopez (kristine21) | 19 comments Norah-OH NO! I AM NOT INTELLIGENT! That's just how our country goes :) Almost everyone graduates HS at the age of 16 mostly, some 15 because they had early education. See? I'm not that intelligent at all. :) My favorite book. Hmmm. That's a hard question since I LOVE a LOT of books. LOL. The genre, it actually depends if I like the plot. But mostly, my books are YA and about romance and adventure. And of course we can become friends! :)
Can I ask you what a freelance writer is? :)

message 475: by Kayla (new)

Kayla (atekayla) Kristine - Where are you from? I have cousins in the Philippines who are a year younger than me but started college around the same time or earlier (they were about 16 or 17).

message 476: by India (new)

India (indihth) This book club looks SOOO much better then the one I was in last! So many topic discussions! It seems like I was meant to join this club because just earlier today I was in the book shop and I found this book called 'The Missing' and thought it was pretty good so put it on my 'to read' list. Turns out that it's the same book - different title obviously - for the up coming month! I was reading the page for Cryer's Cross and I thought it sounded so much like the book I'd seen earlier :P

Kinda excited to get started reading, all the books seem really good.

Roxanne Walls (caffeineanddesperation) | 6 comments Hi! I'm Roxanne Walls, but you can call me Roxxie or Remmy.

I love reading and writing so much that I am taking Journalism for my BA in college. :D I am also an avid reader of manga.

My favorite authors are Scott Westerfeld, Eoin Colfer and Lemony Snicket. I like to read books about pop culture as well as fashion. Despite not having much money, I'd really like to buy tons of books.

I have unsuccessfully tried to write my own original story, but I'm working on something new so I'm looking out for good ideas. :D I also like to draw.

Brian Woods (brianwoods) | 1 comments Hello I am Brian Woods and I am an alcoh....never mind, wrong group for that. I am a writer that has recently released a new Fantasy Novella for YA and up. 24,000 words that keep you reading until your finished and leave you wanting just one more page...or several more in some cases. The reviews are 4 and 5 stars so I am happy currently. I live in Birmingham, Alabama and I am a reader/writer.
If you get time to just look at the reviews, I am sure you'll want to try and then you'll love my writing.

message 497: by Becomingme (new)

Becomingme Hello all, nice to see such a mix in this group. I'm a bit older than some(nope, ain't going to tell)but always young at heart. I enjoy reading most anything as long as the story is good, but I tend to fantasy and SF of which YA books seem to do well at whereas some "Adult" fiction is utterly depressing(and can get quite boring). Not to mention I need that sense of "magic" in my life. I have taught JHS and HS (but sidelined due to illness), in which I was directed to some great books by the my colleagues(the school librarians and other teachers)and those "book fairs" at school. I read to escape (as I did when I was but a wee lass)...and love escaping to a magical place..

message 498: by Amy (new)

Amy (ahunkins12) Becomingme, No worries I felt a bit old but with the books that I love this is a great group! Enjoy. We can be old or "older" together :0)
