Jackie (thenightowl) | 2033 comments How this challenge works:
To obtain points your book must touch at least one or more of the categories. Each item underneath the category is worth one point unless otherwise noted. Categories and items can be repeated as many times as you want throughout the course of the challenge. It is your responsibility to tell us what items came up in your book.

For example on scoring:
I read The Thorn Birds, so I hit the following categories and items:
Time Period- 1970’s (I think)- 1 pt
Genre- Historical Fiction- 1 pt
Country- Italy & Australia- 2 pts
Title- Animal (Birds)- 1 pt
Book Cover- Persons with full body & Grass 2 pts
Random Tasks- Read an epic book- 1 pt
March Event- Aries (fire)- 1 pt
----------------------
Total 9 pts

692 pages= 6 pts

Total= 15 pts

The Thorn Birds by Colleen McCullough

SCORING:
*To obtain points your book must touch at least one or more of the categories. Each item underneath the category is worth one point unless otherwise noted. Categories and items can be repeated as many times as you want throughout the course of the challenge. It is your responsibility to tell us what items came up in your book.

*Bonus points will be awarded based on the length of each book read, as follows:
200 to 300 pages = 2 bonus points
301 to 500 pages = 4 bonus points
501 to 750 pages = 6 bonus points
751 to 1,000 pages = 8 bonus points
1,000+ = 10 bonus points

*Bonus points will be awarded PER BOOK READ.

*Page length used to determine task bonus points is determined by THE MOST POPULAR EDITION OF THE BOOK ON GOODREADS -- NOT the edition you actually read. This is a change from the previous rules in an attempt to make the scoring more fair across the board, as there can be very large page variations between editions. To determine the most popular edition on Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ, simply do a title/author search - the first result that matches your book is the most popular edition on GR.

HAVE FUN!!!

Christy, I think either you forgot to mark a category for a point or miscounted. Can you double check?

Edit: Looks like the missing point is for the Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ Author category. :)

Hey everyone - to make it easier for Heather, Jackie and I to keep up, can you link to the cover of the book edition you read if claiming points for cover art?

Like this:
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Harry Potter, #2) by J.K. Rowling

Luckngrace, can you link to the cover for Nevada? I only see people's heads... LOL

Ahhh... OK. I didn't look that closely. :) Thanks.

To add the cover, click on the "add book/author" link, search as normal, and then before adding clicking "add", check the "cover" button at the bottom of the box. OR you can add it as normal which will appear like this {book:To Kill a Mockingbird|2657} (inside [] rather than {} though) and just change "book" to "bookcover".

Luckngrace | 292 comments I did it! Sorry, Becky & Heather but it still doesn't show up too clearly. The back of the book also had good cover art, but I know it's not allowed. Thank you both for good directions.

That's OK - we can enlarge it if we need to, but it helps to make sure we're looking at the right one if there are a lot of different covers. :)
