Battle Royale
It's a dystopian view of the future, like an adult version of Hunger Games. I'm enjoying it - wish I had more time to read it.

*I'm in charge now*"
Says the man who owns pompoms that sparkle in the dark..
Just sayin' ;)

(Ppl who don't get the reference it's Mr.Sparkle from the episode where Simpsons go to Japan)

This book is the highly improbable 6th book in the Hitchhiker's Guide trilogy. I was a little unsure whether it would work, but I loved the first four books of the original series (the less said about the fifth the better) and the Artemis Fowl series, so I gave it a go.
Given the unavoidable change in author, And Another Thing... is actually quite good, there is a slight problem with it picking up right where the fifth book left off because I normally recommend that no one read the fifth book. However, there is a good dose of silliness and a series of highly improbable events that could only seem plausible in the Hitchhiker’s universe. Recommended for fans who were unsatisfied with the previous end to the series, 3 ½ stars.

Aaaaaaaaargh!!!!!
I have given it three stars, because it has all the basic ingredients for a great read, but there were massive let downs in terms of plot and narrative style, I was overcome with frustration when I finished this book.
Aaaargh!!!

As I mentioned before, it's part of a 'duology' but the first book ended too abruptly, which leads me to suspect that it is merely one book chopped into two to make it sell better (who would want to buy a 1,500 page sci fi novel on time travel?).
Anyway, will move on to the next on before the month ends!
