trista I want to read this book so bad, is it good??

Lindsey It was just okay.

Homaira I really liked this book cant wait until the next one comes out!

Massie It was more than ok. Its really good! every one who likes stuff like this should read it.

Michael (Mai) I really liked it. I thought it was more than okay too.

Abby I thought this book was amazing. Im really into all the stuff about people with powers and stuff. I also wrote a Nancy Drew ae (for one of the computer games) based off of this book. I cant wait for the Awakening!(the next one)

Shep Eh...it was alright. I guess.

Cheryl My teen son read the trilogy in less than a week and then pushed it on me. I don't normally read paranormal stuff, or adventures, but I was fairly impressed - it was both scary and thought-provoking. I'm 1/2way through the second right now.

My son recommends, to people who liked this idea but want something a little more substantial, the trilogy starting with Orphans of Chaos. I haven't read it yet but I do plan to.

i really loved this book, and the series in general was fantastic!! !

Maggie Loved this Series!!! I just wish it was longer, but I liked how she ended it!!!!

AlbertaJenn I really enjoyed the series. I didn't like the ending of the third book, though. There was no closure in it. It just ended abruptly.

i heard that the characters in the darkest powers trilogy will kinda be in kelley armstrongs new series. The first one is already out its called the gathering.

Danielle Lapice One of the worst books I have ever read. Want to read a good series try the Hunger games!

message 16: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl The Hunger Games trilogy is def. on my son's and my to-read list, thank you Danielle! :)

i heard that the characters in the darke..."

They will, but only as minor characters. They will be supporting the new characters and storylines. I just wished Kelley had given these characters some closure before moving on to others.

Tottotheleopard I love this book, and the series. It has a different aspects on the supernatural world, not just vampires all the time, a HUGE plus in my book.

message 20: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl The characters didn't get 'closure' because their lives and adventures are just beginning. Just like real life, there is no 'end' or 'happily ever after.' I was surprised the ending was as *not* abrupt as it was, actually. I liked the series a lot even though it's not my kind of thing at all.

Sharrison97 I loved this book, and loved the whole darkest powers trilogy and I personaly think these books deserved a blockbuster movie more than twilight, No offence to twi hards but i really dislike those books and the films.

message 22: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl "twi hards" - love it!

message 23: by Shep (new) - rated it 3 stars

Shep I dont think Darkest Powers really deserves a blockbuster either, to be honest. There are books out there that are wayyy better.

maddie i really liked this book. i havent read the last book though, buti was obsessed with the second one. i loved the little nothing much romance scenes between derek and chloe...if you could call them that. i hope their romance grows, it was just awesome how they mostly put all the bad things behind them on their adventure to gether. and what was cute was wheneversomeon said that chloe was dereks girlfriend he never denird or the scene in the park where on of the werewolves called chloe his 'mate'...it almsot seemed like he hoped and despirately wanted her to be his girlfriend but didnt want to take her away from his brother.

Kassandra It's one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE!!!!

Heather I have reead the whole series It is a very good series

Gabriel SPOILERS:
The book wasn't bad. I sniffed out the fact that Derek was a Werewolf about half way through; Puberty must be hell when you have a tail growing out of your back and more craters on you than the moon has.

I had the idea that Chole's aunt was in on it from pretty much the start, so when she did show her true colours, I wasn't surprised at all. Chloe bringing back the dead whilst unconcious was surprisingly scary for a teen book, and I loved it when the ghost woman told Chloe off for disturbing her sleep.

The book was good, but it didn't hold many revelations for me regarding the characters and their races.

Lisa Wadsworth I loved this book... I am now reading the second and it is just as good as the first one was.

Vivienne Shrike omg i love this series but im so upset that the gathering has diffrent characters i almost cryed :(

maddie omg the 2nd book was amazing...i cannt waitto get the 3rd and sadly the last book. theyre amzing

Kassandra Heather wrote: "I have reead the whole series It is a very good series"

have you read the gathering yet?

Jayda Dyment I read all the books they were AMAZING!

message 35: by Kal (new) - rated it 3 stars

Kal Can't remember where it was, but I remember really loving this scene in which the main character has a conversation with a girl she meets in a restaurant. Everyone's laughing at her and she can't figure out why until her friend comes along and it turns out the girl is actually a ghost, which no one else can see.

There were a few really great scenes like that which were really well done. Otherwise it was a fun but not too serious, somewhat predictable YA book.

Samantha I've read the whole series and loved every page of each book and I'm about to start reading the gathering.

Kassandra really?!!!

message 38: by Lisa (new) - rated it 5 stars

maddie i loved derek from the star and i new...never mind. spoiler ahead!! anyways, hes such a smart-a** is this book i just completely fell in love with his character....not so much simon. he was way to layed back. and the last book i suspected different romance in between them. more sparks like in the second with the whole protection thing. so i think i love the second the best out of them all. i read the part t the park like 10 times.....loved it

Danielle I really loved the book! Derek was so cute!

maddie He was amazing!!! I wish there were more guys similar to him lol

Nabila Derek is an awesome character and if there were more guys out there similar to him i think we'd all be happy campers :)

maddie Big time... Although he could leave out a little bit of the smartass attitude... Just a little, not to much to get to simons ways though
