I'd recommend Steve Perry's Matador series. He's a good author with significant MA experience. It shows in his writing.

In all honest, this isn't what I had in mind when I started this thread...I guess I should have titled it differently... but nice boots though. Not sure I'd want to do a forced march in them.

Not too many people where Rhinestones to my knowledge... it seems kind of 70s, like that song..hahahaha...
My personal vote goes to Richard Monaco, who wrote an Arthurian series based around Parsival and the Grail Quest. He was a fine writer all around, but most of all, I think he wrote the best fight scenes than any other writer that I've personally encountered. They were viceral and detailed, but not too mechanical and self-concious.
