It was a slow reading weekend for me. I read Stranger In My Arms by Lisa Kleypas and I really liked it. I'm planning on reading Tempt Me At Twilight sometime this week. Meanwhile, I'm Still reading Pariah by Bob Fingerman.

Right now, I am reading The Scarlet Pimpernel. I am trying to slip in a classic now and then. It started off a bit slow, but I am starting to get into it now.

Susan (susaninaz) | 1075 comments Kasey, I LOVED the Scarlet Pimpernel. It was also made into a movie in the late 1930's with Douglas Fairbanks; with obvious references to the Nazis and efforts to smuggle the Jewish people out of Germany.

I just finished the e-book of Lecia Cornwall's Secrets of a Proper Countess. Excellent.

I'm now off to a new book, titled I Can't Make You Love Me But I Can Make You Leave. What a mouthful. It's a murder-mystery set in Texas, with two country-western singer protagonists.

I'm reading Accidentally Dead by Dakota Cassidy. I started it on Friday, but was so busy this weekend I didn't get a chance to read very much!!! So far though, it's very funny!!!

Irisheyes | 896 comments Just finished WAKING UP WITH THE DUKE by Lorraine Heath and am now off to bed! I bought it at about 2:30 today and couldn't stop reading it. Loved it! Is definitely going on my Top 10 list for 2011.

Started Meredith Duran's new book. Wow. She manages to be far more realistic about the life of a girl from the slums and still make the potential for romance with a lord believable. Amazing.

yayayayay!! Aly, I've been dying for Hunter's story since we first read about him. I can't wait to get started on it :)

Kimberly | 10 comments I am reading Deep Kiss of Winter by Kresley Cole and Gena Showalter. It is good so far.

Susan (susaninaz) | 1075 comments I finished I Can't Make You Love Me, but I Can Make You Leave. It was a hoot. I followed it up with Hot Wheels and High Heels by Jane Greaves. I liked it, with its "get off your fanny and fix your own life" female-empowerment theme, as well as a neurotic chihuahua for those who like dogs in their stories. My Nook-color is getting a workout this week. I'm now starting Lord Langley Is Back in Town for some historical funniness. Note that the wildfire is still burning in my area and I need all the laughs I can find.

Susan, I enjoyed the Scarlet Pimpernel too. It was a fun read. I thought it was pretty predictable at times, but I still enjoyed watching the story unfold.

Now I am reading Sarah MacLean's Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake.

message 14: by Cindy (new)

Cindy (cindyw35) | 128 comments I'm reading A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness. I need to make the time to read it, because it's good, but I keep getting caught up in life.

Got back from RWA just last night and it's pretty cool to say that I saw some of the authors whose books you're talking about there:) Got to meet Kate Noble and Sarah MacLean for the first time and they were just lovely. Also saw and chatted a bit with Elizabeth Boyle, whom I've met before.

On the plane ride out and back I read about half of Nora Roberts' HEAVEN AND EARTH. (Had to take some serious naps on the way home so I didn't finish.)

Finished the new Duran which I really loved. And read Loretta chase's new book. Compared to some of her other books it's a 4 bit compared to anyone else it's a 5....some really lovely moments.
