Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4276 comments Please read these notes before posting on 'Meet the Authors'

Why not add a new topic into this folder/group. Put your name in the title (and your book if you like). Tell us something about the book. A promo plug if you want, then how about a bit about what made you write it, how it is going, what you have in mind for the future....

Each author may only have one thread in this section but you are free to do pretty much anything you like with it.

Newly released books can be promoted in the 'New release' section as well as in your 'meet the author' thread.

Patti and I will be deleting multiple threads without warning.

This policy will be reviewed and can be discussed as we only want to keep the group good for everyone.

Remember we all came from the UK Kindle forum so if your book isn't on the Kindle and available in the UK store you might want to take that into consideration.

If your thread seems to have disappeared, it might be in the Sin Bin. It will stay in the sin bin 24 hours to allow you to fix it. If you don't fix it, it will be deleted.

Experience shows that if you return to the group and contribute your thread will stay active and productive. if you drop a promo and run you will not get much out of the group - Good Luck

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments We seem to be getting quite a few author threads that don't contain the author name in the title.

This makes the thread nearly meaningless for you, the author, and for all the group members.

PLEASE be sure your author name is in the thread title. This enables your thread to be seen in any group and/or google searches.

I'll be giving one warning in the thread. If its not correct in a day or so, the thread will be deleted.

Please do not fill your thread title with huge blocks of text either. Information such as that belongs in the thread, not the thread title.

It will be deleted.

Sorry if I'm sounding a bit arsy but we all benefit if the group is tidy and as easy to navigate as possible.

Thanks all!

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Mentioning again the importance of author names in author thread titles.

I'll be warning today and deleting tomorrow.

Thanks
