Gloria Jackson (PlanetQueen72) | 26 comments This is actually a mental health disorder. It just manifests in a physical way. So, the effects of this are obvious, and can lead to heart attacks and all sorts as the body isn't strong enough to cope.

Any information is appreciated.

♫Morgan♫ *composer but never composed* (morgan1123) all i can say to explain it is that a person thinks that they can avoid getting "fat" by not eating. so they wont eat for maybe 2 days at a time then theyll eat something small or drink water so they dont pass out. eventually they want to get so skinny that theyll look even more unhealthy than poor people in africa.

message 3: by Gloria (new)

Gloria Jackson (PlanetQueen72) | 26 comments Not that simple. It's a control thing. Eating and the amount they eat is the only thing they can control,(or they think anyway) so that's why they get so thin.

And also, technically, if you reject your parents food, you are rejecting their love. It's a subconscious thing.

message 4: by [deleted user] (new)

it is hard
you have to stop eat, BUT you have to do so your parents dont notice, when sometimes cause the families to drift apart and/or you to get the habit of lying.

when u start to drift apart from your family, thoughts a suicide may accure.
((i know, i use to be anorexic))

what is it

♫Morgan♫ *composer but never composed* (morgan1123) the biggest of all the 14 year olds is 90 pounds?! thats not right. im 12 years old and weigh 90 pounds and everyone i know always says "youre so skinny!". i cant imagine what they would say to a 14 year old.

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

what is it..... exactly what is it?

♫Morgan♫ *composer but never composed* (morgan1123) o.o thats not a good combination, anorexia and bulimia.

i think i heard somewhere that youd gain less weight if you ate healthy than if you ate normal then threw it up. i forget the rest though...

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

O

Jasmine | ModernScrolls (modernscrolls) | 125 comments I was texting my friend earlier today and she started talking about how she thought she was fat and was thinking about becoming bullemic. I got so scared for her. She's smart, and so she said she's not going to do it. We both know it ruins your body and can very easily ruin your life, but I'm scared for her.

The problem with Anorexia is no matter how thin you are you always feel fat. And that's the worst thing in the world for you.

Thanks! I told her she should try to talk to her mom about this too, to let her know how she's feeling. The problem is she said she told her mom, and there was a camp that she wanted to go to over the summer because she felt it would really help her, but her mom doesn't think she needs it and so she didn't go ):
I want to tell my mom, but I'm afraid to. I know that when I had issues and I told her she didn't tell her mom, but I feel like I should.

There's no need for that! You're beautiful no matter what. God made you in his image, and however you are you're beautiful to him. You just need to think to yourself that you're beautiful. Keep thinking it and you'll see the truth in thr sentence. When you look in the mirror, look at all the good things and don't focus on any flaws you may have. We all have flaws, we just have to focus on the good things.

I used to try to be vegitarian and ended up not even eating for a day, but then I couldn't take it anymore. I thought I was wimpy at the time but now I'm glad I didn't go through with it. Yes, I knwo that's not what vegitarian is.

What's screwed up is I liked the feeling of being hungry... It was like a high for me. The last time I went without eating was ummmm......... Like sometime in May or June and now it's August.

♫Morgan♫ *composer but never composed* (morgan1123) last week for 2 days (for some f***ed up reason) i decided to not eat except for 1 thing for breakfast then dinner. i just drank a lot of water to keep me full. it may not seem like only eating breakfast and dinner is hard, but i have a really high metabolism so i eat CONSTANTLY but im skinny, so it was super hard for me. i ended up dropping 3 pounds o_o so i weighed 92 then 89. i just want to stay below 90, but idk why.

One of my friends last year was bulemic. She didn't tell me, but she would eat really fast and then always go to the bathroom. Once I followed her and heard her making herself gag and vomit. Then, she got all angry when She walked out and washed her mouth out. And her other friends comnfirmed this. She did it because her mom abused her terribly (I am happy to say that she moved in with her nice and non-abusive dad before the school year was over) And told her and her sister that they were mistakes, whores, and often physically hurt them. I Helped her by telling the counselor about what she was doing, and she was angry for a while, but then she eventually warmed up. I could tell she was much happier a week after I snitched.

It's actually not snitching when it helps them and when you tell on so meone because someone is getting hurt or in danger.

message 37: by [deleted user] (new)

I know...i was just using it instead of "telling on her".

After I told could've worked... I'm sorry if this is pissing you off it's kinda my anorexia, the one thing I can control.

message 39: by [deleted user] (new)

nonono its not pissing me off! :) My rp charries may have a temer of an irish, but I rly dont!

message 40: by Lunabell (new)

Lunabell I like to say I'm in recovery! I'm doing a lot better than I was a couple months ago and a couple months ago I was doing better than I was several months before that. Therapists help, but what really made the biggest difference was my nutritionist. Honestly, if you have any questions about food/eating TALK TO A NUTRITIONIST. They will essentially knock the sense back into your brain and you'll be like "OH". It has made a huge difference in my recovery.

message 41: by [deleted user] (new)

.....doctors tell me different things.....I just...I don't trust them...I have trust issues....they give me anxiety/depression meds? More like Age-prevention testing! She (the doctor) said before I started taking the meds that they would keep me from growing "A little". Hah. Understatement of the century. I literally needed to get my period (for days I felt terrible, had cramps, etc...) so I skipped meds those days. And whoop di do. I got it. The only way I get it is if I skip. And I haven't matured physically almost at all. I have a completley flat chest, am only 5"3, and Haven't grown more than a half cenimeter in a year. I know, this is farfetched, but I think I might have figured out these screwy doctors...

♫Morgan♫ *composer but never composed* (morgan1123) :( aw that sucks. but at least you're 5' 3"! you could be stuck at 5 feet.
and i would be kinda happy that i wouldnt have to get my period if i took meds.

message 43: by [deleted user] (new)

I actually want to have kids tho. When I get old enough to legally control my meds, I'll make sure to get off of them. I don't know how much longer my body and hormones can take it...

♫Morgan♫ *composer but never composed* (morgan1123) then it's good that you can control it!
i just dont understand how mother nature expects a 12 year old to want to have kids.

During puberty you're not supposed to take meds that'll affect your growth and development it can have permanent and lasting affects.

♫Morgan♫ *composer but never composed* (morgan1123) can anti-depressants affect your development?
