Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments Beginning in January a group of us will be starting the Symphony of Ages series, committing to reading a book every other month. Is anyone interested in reading another series on the alternating month? If so, put your nominations here. We will have a poll, coming up in a later month.

Heather (messybar) | 1307 comments I've only read the 1st book, and maybe too many people have already read it as a whole, but I would like to tackle the Psy-Changling series by Nalini Singh.
Slave to Sensation (Psy-Changeling, #1) by Nalini Singh

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments Ohhh, yes! I want to start that one too. Great nomination, Heather. Will you be able to wait till February?

I was thinking, if the winner is not an epic (like SoA), maybe we could start in November -- no make that December, so as not to interfer with the every other month thing with Symphony of Ages.

Comments?

message 4: by Heather (new)

Heather (messybar) | 1307 comments I currently don't have the second one, so as long as it's not staring me in the face, I won't be tempted to read it. That being said, I'm good with starting the series whenever, this year or early next year. I think that the books in the series are about 350 pages in length, so not epic IMO.

message 5: by Lina (new)

Lina | 5563 comments I'd be keen to re-read the Psy-Changelings next year :-)

Michelle Gilmore | 3220 comments What about Julia Quinn's Bridgerton series? Or am I the only person who hasn't even started that series yet?

The Duke And I (Bridgertons, #1) by Julia Quinn

message 7: by Lisa Kay, Moderator (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments Like, around February?

message 8: by Lina (new)

Lina | 5563 comments Ooh, another good choice Michelle! I've only read the first 2 of the Bridgertons I think, and that was last year, so would be keen to do that one too!

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments I would be willing to re-read them. :)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments I liked the Boscastle series too, by Jillian Hunter and would be up for a re-read.
The Seduction of an English Scoundrel (Boscastle, #1) by Jillian Hunter The Love Affair of an English Lord (Boscastle, #2) by Jillian Hunter The Wedding Night of an English Rogue (Boscastle, #3) by Jillian Hunter The Wicked Games of a Gentleman (Boscastle, #4) by Jillian Hunter The Sinful Nights of a Nobleman (Boscastle, #5) by Jillian Hunter The Devilish Pleasures of a Duke (Boscastle, #6) by Jillian Hunter

Also, I never got to the last book in the Tairen Soul series by C.L. Wilson. The mother drove me a little batty, but I'd be willing to "re-read" the first four (my library has them on audio) in order to get to the last one.
Lord of the Fading Lands (Tairen Soul, #1) by C.L. Wilson Lady of Light and Shadows (Tairen Soul, #2) by C.L. Wilson King of Sword and Sky (Tairen Soul, #3) by C.L. Wilson Queen of Song and Souls (Tairen Soul, #4) by C.L. Wilson Crown of Crystal Flame (Tairen Soul, #5) by C.L. Wilson

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments Or we could always do a Lisa Kleypas.
Here is the link to her series page. (In case you don't know them by heart, like I do!) Also, she has started to re-publish her old Berkley-Faulkner series.
Where Passion Leads (Berkley - Faulkner, #1) by Lisa Kleypas Forever My Love (Berkley-Faulkner, Book 2) by Lisa Kleypas

message 15: by Michelle (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments Which one, ✿Michelle?

message 17: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Gilmore | 3220 comments I'm not too familiar with her historical romance series, but I'd be interested in reading any one of those.

message 18: by Lisa Kay, Moderator (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments ✿Michelle, Want to get a little more input and then I can post a poll?

message 19: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Gilmore | 3220 comments That'd be fine with me. You name it, and I'm sure I'd want to read it, LOL!

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments Or we could continue on with the Carpathians Series, book #2 - Dark Desire?
Dark Desire (Carpathians, #2) by Christine Feehan

Hmmm.... that's not a bad idea either. I really did enjoy the first book in the series, and I hear that it gets better with each book.

Lina | 5563 comments I'm liking all the suggestions so far. I'd probably prefer we didn't do another Fantasy Romance (Tairen Soul series) if we're already doing the Symphony of Ages reads on alternate months, but I'm easy. happy with whatever the majority wants to do :-) Buddy reds are always fun!

Good point CaroB. It's a good idea not to get too much of a good thing. I'm always doing that. I get really into to a specific genre and read nothing but those sort of books, and then I get burned out.

message 24: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl (cawils_99) I love Lisa Kleypas and I would enjoy reading her Wallflowers series.

Oh, Cheryl, I received the first two in that series for my birthday on audiobook! Looking forward to listening to it this month. Already downloaded it to my Birthday iPod!

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments The poll for our next series read (before Symphany of Ages in January) is up. Here is the link. If the voting is close, I will re-post for a vote of the top 2 or 3.

Heather (messybar) | 1307 comments Thanks Lisa Kay. Looking forward to it.

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments For those of you interested in Lisa Kleypas's books... the
NBRC - Nothing But Reading Challenges Group is starting a "buddy read" of Sugar Daddy (Travises, #1) by Lisa Kleypas tomorrow, October 17th. It is the first book in the Travises series and it is a good one.

You can just lurk, answer the questions, or volunteer to post questions, or even just say "Hi!" Not pressure; it is all for fun.
