*smile* I don't have a specific recipe per se, but my secret is to add red wine or beer. The alcohol cooks out of it and it adds amazing flavor. Red wine leaves a lovely taste behind and beer leaves the meatloaf spongy and moist.

I'm not certain if you mean for all members to share their book group backgrounds or Lexington Reads specifically, so apologies if I'm misunderstanding your question. At Lexington Reads, we'll do occasional group reads, but since we're geography based (and being from one place doesn't mean liking the same books), I thought we could concentrate on connecting with others who share our tastes (through buddy read posts) and talk generally about book culture and reading in Lexington. If anyone has a book group and wants to let people know about it, please share it here by posting meetings as an event.

Sorry, Melanie, I'm just now seeing your comment! I have two book groups that I "lead" as part of my job at the Madison County Public Library. The book group in Richmond meets on the 4th Thursday of each month, and the group in Berea meets on the 4th Tuesday of each month. Both groups are pretty large - about 15-20 in each group. We read all kinds of books: a variety of genres, fiction/non-fiction, newer titles and some modern classics. So far, our favorite book in both groups has been The Help. My favorite books that we have read are Olive Kitteridge and Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter. Both sparked a lot of great discussion. Join us if you can - they really are great groups!
