I am still working on Atonement. I am finding it to be a slow read, but I am finally getting into the story more.

I just reread Dragon Bound, in anticipation of the third book in the series coming out tomorrow. Its really an impressive first book and toggles amazingly between humor and passion, with great world building...Its been a great week--Unclaimed by Milan and Always a Temptress by Dreyer, and then tomorrow the new Thea Harrison and of course Teresa Romain's new book. And Animal Attraction by Jill Shalvis.

Irisheyes | 896 comments Just Finished Always a Temptress by Eileen Dreyer. A Five star read. I loved it. It is by far the best in the series. It has a favorite trope of mine - old lovers separated, each blaming the other and neither knowing the full story. It is fun to watch them figure out where it all went wrong.

Just finished Keegan's Lady by Catherine Anderson. I'm on a huge CA binge. I'm really liking all of her stories. I know that they're formulatic and predictable, but I'm liking them anyway. I guess she's become my guilty pleasure.

I just finished Inside by Brenda Novak and really enjoyed it. I wasn't that jazzed about her previous trilogy, but this one was really interesting. Heroine was an assistant warden at a maximum security prison, and the hero was an exonerated ex-con who goes undercover in her prison to infiltrate a gang. Not my usual kind of book at all, but it was compelling.

I can't read Theresa's new one until I finish the book I'm working on (I have to read another subgenre when I'm writing historical) so I'm going to check out another romantic suspense or a contemporary next.

IrishEyes, I have read Keegan's Lady by Catherine Anderson and all her stories in that series, both historical and contemporary. They were very very good. Enjoy!

Irisheyes | 896 comments Thanks Peg, I'm really enjoying her. She is a very easy author to read and her heroes are true heroes in every sense of the word. I've been having fun glomming her backlist.

Theresa Romain | 420 comments I'm reading Anne Mallory's In Total Surrender--I really like it so far. The hero is truly cold and ruthless, and the heroine just rolls with his quirks beautifully (which, of course, confounds him). It's a lot of fun.

Romanticbookworm | 77 comments I finished Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater (library book) this afternoon. I really enjoyed it :-).

I am not sure what I am going to read next so have to browse to decide :-).

I'm holding Theresa's book for the weekend. I just finished Serpents Kiss, which I loved. It didn't quite have the humor of her first book, but its still a 5 * for me. And the teaser for her next book looks wonderful (ok, so I 'm a sucker for books with kids...)
I also read Animal Attraction by Shalvis. I find her writing highly variable, but she seems to really do better when she depicts people living in the mountains of the west. This one was good although the plot started to drag eventually (you need more than just two people who are attracted despite fear of commitment...)
Still, I enjoyed it and would give it 4 *

Theresa--I really Liked In Total Surrender too (except for the title--sheesh!) Anne Mallory is a very interesting writer--I'm curious what she'll do next. Her earlier books were pretty stereotpyical but the last 3 or so have been fascinating.
