Introduce Yourself here (November 2011)

Im Lauren and I'm from Hull. Ive had my Kindle for 10 months and read more now than i ever have done. (which is surprising when you have a 1 year old)
Finding it all slightly confusing, when i log in its not clear were the discussion forums are?? and do i need to join every thread i want to wite in as i had to join something to write in here?? Its all confusing but i will keep chipping away at it.
Anyway thanks to everyone for their help on the amazon forum
Lauren

Welcome to the group. You have indeed made it. You can post anywhere on any subject. If you are an author we ask you to post promotions and news in either 'meet the authors' or 'new releases'. We don't have many rules and if you get stuck someone will always be along to help.
It is a bit confusing to start with but feel free to get involved

Oh, yes, and they're all totally insane. Completely and utterly. But it's a great place to discuss custard.
Er... yes, you'll understand that bit soon enough :D
I'm going to go now, in case I scare you off the forum altogether!
Welcome to our group Lauren!

Its ok Mhairi ive been told it would be good to mix with other insane people, such as myself :P

Funny when the inmates are so easily confused with the jailers, isn't it?

I have to say that sometimes it's only the other voices in my head that keep me sane.

I'm sure you will fit in well & it won't take you long to get into things round here. We are all a little mad but very friendly with it. Chat to you soon.

Isn't that ginger biscuits in custard?

Lol - I was going to pick on "a little" ! But now it's gone up to "quite"... really we're TOTALLY mad !
Hi Mo and welcome to the group!!

Put it in a paddling pool and we can have a wrestling tournament later

This is DEFINITELY going to bring new members ! Shall we mention it on amazon?

Mo is a good friend of mine & I was just trying to show her how polite & nice we can all be on here, how warm & welcoming, & then YOU LOT CAME ALONG & SPOILT IT ALL!!!

there should be punctuation in there somewhere but i'm not entirely sure where exactly...
...ok I stuck a comma in does it make sense?

Hi, Anita and Maureen!!!

Sorry Anita,it all got devoured with the sticky toffee apple sponge(the third one made this week).I had quite a struggle with Gingerlily but told her we had to share nicely.

Please start by adding a post to our ‘Introduce Yourself thread. We are a nosey lot and would love to know who you are, what you like to read (and write), where you live and what you drink, eat, wear and grow.
This thread meanders off-topic quite a bit but as soon as a new member comes along our friendly but bonkers members soon appear to give you a warm welcome.
Of course you don’t have to introduce yourself if you prefer. You could head off to Meet The Authors, check out our monthly book selections. check out the New releases or play some Group Games
Even if you don’t feel ready to post something you are most welcome to sit back and watch the fun.
This forum is very lightly moderated (hardly noticeable), occasionally we will ask you to keep a particular thread on topic and we have a few simple rules about author threads and new releases.
There are plenty of ebook related threads, a wine discussion and a place to share your musical taste.
If you have any problems you can post questions on the threads, someone will come along and help. If you would rather not ask your question publicly by all means send a personal message (PM) to Patti or myself and we will try to help.
The plan is to clear the Introductions thread monthly to see if it makes things a bit easier for new members. Old Introductions can be found in the archive.
