i know. XD it's so easy to just write "and then everybody died" than it is to come up w/a way to end it happily. lol
yep. like when i write stories i always write stinkish endings cuz they are just so hard!!!!!! BLAH!!!!!!!!!! GggggggggggggggggggRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
yeah .... endings are hard. i never like my endings. i always cry. haha. okay, i take that back. i only cried when i was writing the end of soul stealer. and when i was writing the end of reborn, although it wasn't exactly sad. just ... part of it seemed sad. idk; it was complicated. i was like "OMG WHY AM I CRYING?!" lol
i totally know! Ggggggggggrrrrrrrr
I disagree...for me, it's easier to write a happy ending, harder to write a sad ending. I mean, a GOOD sad ending. Of course it's easy to write a sad ending, but an actual GOOD one is another matter.
I personally like reading happy endings, but writing sad endings. I don't know why, it's just that way. Plus, if I write a happy ending, I feel like nothing really has changed from beginning to end, so that there's no point. That's why its hard for me to write happy endings. But when I read happy endings, I like them. :D lol.
And yeah, I really like bittersweet endings. Where it's half sad, half happy. Those are the ones I write usually. Like, the main conflict got worked out, but the main character had to sacrifice something to solve the conflict, or had to pay the price for the solution. That's how it ends for me every time. LOL XD

Yeah bittersweet endings are probably the best. I guess it's either easier to just have either a "happily ever after" ending or a "doom and gloom; everybody dies" ending, and hardest to have something in between.
Not really. I mean, it's actually hardest to have a happy ending because life doesn't work that way, and we all know it. Also, it can be difficult to have a finality to the story unless you do it right.
I mean, there are basically 3 endings (epilogues and sequels tend to blur the boundries, but whatever)
I'm not talking about the happy, bittersweet, and depressing, I'm talking about three different ones:
MC/everybody dies. The story stops. Nothing can happen afterwards, because they are, you know, dead.
Then there is the everything continues as it it (aka, the happily ever after, but it doesn't always have to be happy). The story comes to a conclusion, and life falls into a definite pattern, and there are no more adventrues. Unless, of course, adventures are normal for your characters.
And then there is the life continues on as it normally should thing. This usually applies to books with children or teenagers as the main characters, as they are the ones who would change. What happens with these endings is simple: the problem comes to a resolution, and then the main character slowly grows up, just as a normal person would.
And that's it. most endings can fit into those three categories. There are a few exceptions, particularly in the stories that last for, oh, twenty or thirty books, and are a series written just to make money. But just ignore those ones. :D

Well, what I meant was that it can be easy to have a happy ending if you, say, solve all the problems by having a magic fairy come down out of the sky and magically fix everything. You know what I mean?

Yeah, true. But its hard to write a GOOD happy ending, because its hard not to make the happy endings cheesy. Then again, its hard to write a good sad ending too, because you have to avoid it being TOO depressing and full of tragedy, because then it's not good either. That's why I think bittersweet endings are the best. Although, all endings in general are hard...
true. i hate endings. i always hate my endings. aaaggggh. i don't even want to think about it ... O.o
omg i hate endings too!! i hate my endings especially!! i always end it the same way, it drives me crazy. ever story ive ended always ends in a bittersweet way, with the main characters getting over the conflict, but suffering some kinda loss because of it. even my nano ending is going to be like that!! ugh. i think i'm going to challenge myself to write a happy ending once...
i hate the end of soul stealer. oh my god. it's, like, gut-wrenching. maybe that's supposed to be a good thing. i have no idea. i just know that every time i read it i start crying and i feel like such an evil person. but i can't change it cuz the uber-depressing ending was kinda inevitable.
although in a way it was sort of happy in a romeo-and-juliet kind of way.
urrgghh idk.

lol, i have an ending like that...whenever i think of the ending that im going to write for my nano story, i always cringe because i think it's going to be really cheesy. but i can't think of any other way to end it. ugh.

oooh nozies...im sure it isnt as bad as you make it seem, though. thats what writers all do (me included); we're our own worst critics.
yeah ...
well i guess i could email i to you. i trust that you're not an evil plagiarizer ... XD but i apologize that it sucks ...

oh cool, could you? i could give you constructive critism. (except, just warning you; i think the kind of constructive critism you're going to get from me will be the kind that goes "OOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMGGGGG TTTTTTHHHAAAAAAT WAS AMMMAAAZZZIIINNNGG!!!!" just a precaution) lol XD
yay XD
except..i might not be able to read it for a bit, since im procrastinating my hw and probably should get to it...lol XD

yeah...lol XD soul stealer was amazing. XD don't listen to brigid, people. the ending was amazing, NOT bad like she said. XD

okay but i axed the epilogue. i read a few times and i was like "I HATE THIS!!! DELETE!!! BWA HAHA!!!" So, bye-bye epilogue. It's a lot better now. More depressing, maybe, but better. Actually, idk. I don't think the epilogue made a difference. Well, it's gone now.
i know, i'm glad you axed the epilogue...it makes the ending better, more mysterious, and leaves more of it up to the reader, which i like. plus, i like the last line now...its very powerful and dramatic. lol. XD
you know... when I'm down,
I SIMPLY REMEMBER MY FAVORITE THINGS AND THEN I DON'T FEEL SO BAD!!!1
I love that song and I'm listening to it right now. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Nope. You have no reason to laugh. Because you got her name right.
That's how I felt the first time I heard a dude singing the song.
