Rachel Brand (pixieauthoress) In the same vein as the Amish Top Ten, let's see what everyone's favourite non-Amish books of 2011 were! Remember, they don't have to be published in 2011 so just whatever your favourite non-Amish reads were from this year. We'll keep this thread open until early January people can add any last minute gems they've discovered. Non-Christian books are fine to be listed as well.

I haven't read too much this year outside my Amish box, but my favorite was The Book of Tomorrow by Cecelia Ahern.

message 4: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (misscalico) | 128 comments I enjoyed Courting Miss Amsel by Kim Vogel Sawyer. I read her Amish and Mennonite books, so this was an interesting change. I also really enjoyed reading The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom.

Rachel Brand (pixieauthoress) An interesting mixture so far :)

I'd have to say the best non-Amish books I've read so far this year are these, in order of when I read them:
1. Here Burns My Candle by Liz Curtis Higgs
2. Head in the Clouds by Karen Witemeyer
3. When Sparrows Fall by Meg Moseley

I'll have to have a think about the rest!

I'm assuming it means that each book has had one vote so far? So if two people list the same book as being a favourite, it would have a 2 after it. Correct me if I'm wrong, Diane!

I loved this one, too! It had the cutest cover, with the hero standing on the heroine's hem :)
