Haven't posted in ages so I thought this would be as good a place as any to chime in!
I always have one fiction and at least one nonfiction book going at any given time.
My fictional read is actually a re-read of A Breath of Snow and Ashes, the 6th book in Diana GAbaldon's Outlander series. I am loving it even more the second time around.
My nonfiction is The Happiness Project.
Even if you're not into self-help and are a natural cynic like me, it's worth reading. The author is a talented writer and she definitely makes some valid points. It's really making me think about the meaning of happiness and how to take responsibilty, re-direct my energy, and find more happiness in my daily life.

In the last week I was able to complete two books. I finished The Confession by John Grisham. I really enjoyed this book and I loved the suspense. This was a 5 star book for me.

I also finished Smokin' Seventeen by Janet Evanovich. This was another fun book in this series. I gave this book 4 stars but really wanted to show 4.5 stars.

I am now reading Life's a Beach by Claire Cook

I finished All the Pretty Horses by Cormac McCarthy early this morning. I thought this book was okay, but not enough to continue the series.

I am now starting Goodnight Nobody by Jennifer Weiner

I finished Goodnight Nobody by Jennifer Weiner. This was Jennifer Weiner first attempt at writing a chick lit/mystery novel. I ended up enjoying this book.

I also finished Girl Named Zippy by Haven Kimmel. I didn't enjoy this book as much as I wanted too. It was went on and on about her dysfunctional family. I didn't enjoy the telling of the animals.

I just finished Tricks by Ellen Hopkins. What a powerful yet heartbreaking book. This was a 5 star book for me.

I just finished The Secret Life Of CeeCee Wilkes. Oh my gosh what a roller coaster and emotional book. This was a 5 star book for me.

This morning I started Fly Away Home by Jennifer Weiner

I just finished Fly Away Home by Jennifer Weiner. Even though I liked this book, I felt there was so drama with all three characters in this book and I could not wait until end to find out how all their drama ended. I gave this book 3 stars.

I am now starting The Innocent by Harlan Coben.

The Halloween Tree by Ray Bradbury. This was a spooky book. I enjoyed it. I gave this book 3 stars.

Why My Third Husband Will Be A Dog: The Amazing Adventures of an Ordinary Woman by Lisa Scottoline. This was a hilarious book, but I do prefer Socttloine fiction books more. I gave this book 3 stars.


Bad Dogs Have More Fun: And Other Tails of Animals, Life and Family by John Grogan. I was disappointed with this book as it really didn't have that many "bad dog" stories. I gave this book 2 stars

Hello Goodbye by Emily Chenoweth. This was such a good book, but sad. I gave this book 4 stars.

I'm on chapter 27 of A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness. I'm loving this book.

Yesterday I managed to finish to books.

On and off over the past month I was listening too In the Garden of Beasts: Love, Terror, and an American Family in Hitler's Berlin by Erik Larson. I thought this book was just okay. I'm not a history-buff so felt way to much detail and found I was loosing interest in the book. I happy when it was done.

Last night I finished A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness. I loved this book and I'm looking forward to her next book.
