No, I was going to get the touch screen, but after reading some of the reviews on it I decided not to. If I don't like the one I bought I'll give it to my son for his birthday in February (we are getting him a Kindle anyway) and buy myself a touch ;)

Do you like yours? Does the touch screen work good?

Thomas Wilson (StorytellerTDW) | 53 comments Did anybody who currently has a touch screen have a previous button version of the Kindle?
Was switching over easy?
How do you turn on the funtions like change font size, or have it read to you?
Have the the very first model of Kindle and thinking about upgrading in the near future for more memory.
I have been leaning towards the touch screen with 3G.
Any suggestions?
Thomas

I just recently purchased the kindle touch and before I bought it I played with both the kindle touch and the one without the touch screen with the buttons. I liked both but I liked the kindle touch because it was smaller in size. And with the touch you just tap on the top of the screen while your reading and it will pull up like a tool bar at the top and bottom of your screen and the top you have a few other functions as well as the text to speak option. And the bottom tool bar is for your font sizes. I really like this kindle but this would be my first kindle so i can't really compare it to the others. But I've played with the ones with the buttons and its the same just bigger because of the keyboard at the bottom. Hopefully this helps you out! :)

you're going to LOVE your Kindle touch! I have the older kindle 6" screen, which I got when they came out and it was the best invention since everything LOL! But I was waiting for Amazon to come out with a touch screen version and as soon as they did, Happy birthday to ME! Bought it for myself and last year and absolutely LOVE it. The best.

I've read the BDB series by J.R. Ward and I really enjoyed them. That first book you're going to be reading is one of my favorites in that series. I can't wait for #10 which is coming out in March. I have all 5 books for the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning in my "to read" as well and can't wait to start them. They sound so amazing. I've had them for months and haven't been able to get to them yet, but I've read all of the Highland series books by Karen Moning and loved them all so I'm sure these will blow me away too. How have you enjoyed the first 4? I see that you're also going to be reading the first book from the IAD series by Kresley Cole and that series happens to be my all time favorite series hands down! They're wicked funny, passionate, action packed, and intelligently written. The characters are fierce and the story lines are super interesting. Hope you enjoy the first one. I love them ALL but actually when I started reading this series Kresley hadn't released The Warlord Wants Forever, so I started the series with what is now book #2, A Hunger Like No Other, and was blown away. Later on while on book 3 I think, that's when I found the story that's now book 1 but was part of an anthology Playing Easy To Get. But over time this series got popular and now she has released it as it's own book and reordered the series correctly. Just finished reading Lothaire which is book # 12 for this series and it was spectacular. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
