Well, this folder is called Our Favorite Books, after all. And these are my favorite books. I'm probably going to be reading them to my grandchildren...that is, until I realize that young children probably shouldn't. But this is ranting.

Here you can rant and scream and fangirl/fanboy all you want about these awesome-as-fuzzles books. (And fuzzles are pretty dang awesome.)

How could I have not remembered to put a Hunger Games discussion! It is one of the best series. Katniss is awesome and so is Peeta! All the tributes are interesting and I can't wait for the movie

Apps *ąþþℓεş щïŧɧ şþℓεεŋ ïş şҩųïşɧγ* (appsl) This song is sooo awesome! Much gloomier than what I expected from Taylor Swift.

This song reminds of the scene where Katniss sings Rue to death. If I remember right that song was also something like 'you'll be safe in the place called here' or something.

I've heard rumors that it actually is the song that's playing for rue's death, not sure if it's just background instrumental or the actual song though

I can't wait for the Hunger Games movie (Midnight-Screening all the way)

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

The Hunger Games following where I live is so extreme that there's a midnight showing, a 12:01 showing, a 12:02 showing, a 12:03 showing, a 12:04 showing...they're shutting down a wing of the theater just for the Hunger Games movie. AND the premiere day is a Thursday or Friday. I'm still going!

message 16: by Karina (new)

Karina if i had someone to go with i would go see the midnight screening but unfortunately i dont know anyone who is interested in seeing it....all my friends prefer chick flicks(we are soo different) >.<

Divergent (Divergent, #1) by Veronica Roth is being compared to the Hunger Games but I like them both... @Kevin it's a sad marketing strategy

I'm not quite sure. But the folder's name is "Our Favorite Books", and angsty and violent as these books are, they're by far my favorites.

Apps *ąþþℓεş щïŧɧ şþℓεεŋ ïş şҩųïşɧγ* (appsl) Almost none of the books are 'Erudite' here. And almost none of the 'erudite' books are fun. And almost all 'fun' books have atleast a bit of violence. And, well, as long as the books are fun, who cares about the name?Right?

We never said every boook we read is erudite-- we said we are erudite readers

message 29: by The (new)

The Melonator (TheMelonator) | 22 comments any person who reads is erudite, and any person who reads is reading a book.
In this very awful syllogism- books are erudite

February 24th will start our Chapter A Day Countdown.. each day we will discuss a chapter of the Hunger Games. We will finish the Hunger Games a day before the movie comes out. I think this is a good way to read the book before the movie. :) Do you like this idea?

message 46: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 32 comments Yeah, I'll need to re-read it anyway. I don't know what happened anymore :)

message 47: by Karina (new)

Oh that sucks.. I don't buy books .. I usually get them from the library.

message 50: by Karina (new)

Karina I don't see my cousin that often and he is slow sometimes so hopefully I get it back in time.... And I would get it at the library just for this but they have a huge waitlist for it.
