havent read it yet but its sitting in my room just waiting to be read. Right now I'm enjoying the Lorien Legacies by the way. (I Am Number Four) There's more to the series than just that one book, but as of now that first one was terrific

Morgan (morgzsydney) | 43 comments I am obsessed with Pink Boots and a Machete: My Journey From NFL Cheerleader to National Geographic Explorer by Mireya Mayor. She is truly an amazing woman who went from an NFL cheerleader to an accomplished explorer. She tells her stories in a hilarious, witty manner. And the book is very exciting. I loved the unique female perspective applied. Its awesome. My favorite line "I wore that nurses uniform proudly until one day I declared that I wanted to be a ninja" I have a signed copy of this book and tweet Mireya sometimes. She is amazing <3

Christa VG (christa-ronpaul2012) If looking for some short but lively tales I would recommend "Tales from the Perilous Realm" by J.R.R.Tolkien. Not as deep as the Lord of the Rings, but still remarkable well written and extremely enjoyable. I am reading one of the tales (about a little dog named Rover) to my 5yr sister and she is loving it. Should be on everyone's book shelf :D

I love The Book Thief.. it's really meaningful, action-packed, and just emotional.. This book got me crying at the end and few books can ever do this. If you haven't read this book you need to.. i think everyone should read this book at least once.. this is a book that I know I will read over and over again.

Karina Wicked Lovely (Wicked Lovely, #1) by Melissa Marr
I adore this book and the entire series :)
I was sort of forced to read this book when I was a freshman in high school but it holds a special place in my heart because This is the book that got me into fantasy and made start reading again.
Lots of romance and evil faeries. So if your into that I suggest you check it out.

Paranormalcy by Kiersten White
Want to know a secret about me? ... I always judge a book by it's cover :O
So I doubted this book but it really is great and such a fun read. Gets you hooked from beginning to end.

message 29: by Christa VG (new)

Christa VG (christa-ronpaul2012) I personally believe every one should read "Ivanhoe" by "Sir Walter Scott". Such a good book. Full of adventure and romance, I couldn't put it down.

message 30: by Haley (new)

Haley Has anyone else read Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card? I'm honestly not a huge science-fiction fan, but this has been my favorite book since elementary school and it gets better every time I read it. I think parts of it are so horribly real and possible that's its almost heart-breaking to read (once you know the characters that are being put through these things). It's a bit like Lord of the Flies in space, but ten times better. It's not action-packed or filled with romance or anything, it's just so good. Hard to explain unless you've read it.

message 32: by Christa VG (new)

Christa VG (christa-ronpaul2012) I love Ender's Game. I only discovered it last year, but have read it several times and got it on CD. So heart breaking at points and sometimes a little gruesome, but so good all the same.

Christa VG (christa-ronpaul2012) I would highly recommend "The Green and The Grey" by "Timothy Zahn" for people who like Sci-fi or fantasy. Excellent book!

message 38: by Haley (new)

Haley Scott wrote: "I need to read Ender's Game.. i hear it's becoming a movie!"

I'm SO anxious about the movie. I actually wish they weren't making one. It's not a book that I necessarily want to be well-known, first of all, because it detracts from the book for me when everyone likes it just because Hollywood decided to make it a film, and second because the movie is never as good and that's all people remember. So I'm worried :)

Karina The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
I am so in love with John Green! his writing is amazing!
This book broke my heart... I seriously cried myself to sleep last night after finishing it but I think everyone should read it because it is brilliant!
The characters were incredible and the book does have humor so even if it reduces you to tears it will also make you smile and laugh :)

I used to hate fantasy so that is why I hated it but I got into it by accident actually. I was bored at home and trying to find something to watch on TV, I saw that Hp: and the Prisoner of Azcaban was on and left it there because I could mot find anything better. Afterwards I was like "Holy Crap! I think I am in love" I watched all the movies the next day and then decided to read the books but I have only read the first 3 and the 6th....planning to finish the series this year :)
