Are there any self-published authors here tying out Kindle Select? What do you think of it?

I'm doing Kindle select now with Asteria. I know Megan and Izzie are finding more success with it than I am, but it's just the first month, so we'll see.

The Secret of the Keepers is still available on smashwords and B&N. The only thing that bothers me about the select program is that it seems like an attempt to nail B&N's coffin shut so Amazon can be the supreme ruler of the ebook reader market.

I just don't like feeling used. However, the program itself is a good one!

I just started it for Demon Possession yesterday. I agree, it's kinda sucky to have to take the book down from the other outlets, but my sales there were never that great anyway. So, I'm willing to try it, at least, once.
