How this challenge works:
This is your fantasy and you can make it go any way you wish. The following are examples of what you can choose, but please feel free to improvise and change them to fit you. Make it your own. These are meant to help guide you to your very own Happily Ever After, and it's your turn to write your own fantasy date. Keep in mind you may use one book to cover more than one category. The main things to keep in mind:

- Who will your date be?
- What will you wear?
- Where will you go Paris, Venice, stay home, etc?-
- When - will your date take place in the present, future, or past?
- What will you do- go to the movie, opera, bowling, etc?
- Will your date present you with a/any gift(s) - flowers, chocolates, jewelry?
- How will your date end? Design your date's happy ending - good night kiss, proposal, in bed, etc.

This challenge will be adding a new twist because this will, if you wish, contain a bit of a writing challenge as well. Don't worry, it's nothing that is too complicated, but if you feel a bit intimidated feel free to use the standard challenge layout instead. But if you've been waiting for something to stimulate the author in you, this may be your ultimate challenge. You can be the author of your own love story. What could be more fun. Okay, after realizing it, it would be more fun if it actually became real, but hey, I'm not a genie. Darn it! lol

Example of how you could write your own romance reading challenge via Lisarenee. You can use this as your base or create your own:

Description of my date:
He introduced himself as fill in the blank . He fill in the blank (List the name of the book you used)

Future/Past Possible lead in sentence:
As I took the hand he offered me everything got blurry and I felt as if I was floating and everything was speeding up around me. After a few minutes of sheer panic, everything started to slow down and came to a stop. As I looked around me I saw fill in the blank . I had traveled to the year fill in the blank . (list name of book which you will read for this event)

My Outfit:
I wore fill in the blank . Which was highly unsuitable. I would have to find new clothes. (list name of book which you will read that has outfit on the cover or description in the book)

What we did:
He/she took me to fill in the blank where we fill in the blank . (list name of book which you will read and how it relates to the above - remember depending on how fast you read you could do several different things)

Later that evening...

My Happy Ending:
He walked me to my door and pulled be toward him. He gazed into my eyes and fill in the blank .(list name of book which you will read and how it relates to the above)

Example of the above filled in:

He introduced himself as Hardy Cates . He was a Blue-Eyed Devil (Blue-Eyed Devil by Lisa Kleypas)

As I took the hand he offered me everything got blurry and I felt as if I was floating and everything was speeding up around me. After a few minutes of sheer panic, everything started to slow down and came to a stop. As I looked around me I saw Victorian England . I had traveled to the year 1852 . (Victorian England by L. C. B. Seaman)

I wore Blue Jeans . Which was highly unsuitable. I would have to find new clothes.(Blue Jeans by Tuesday Morrigan )

He took me to The Lightkeeper's Ball where we We Danced All Night . (The Lightkeeper's Ball by Colleen Coble and We Danced All Night by Barbara Cartland )

Later that evening...

He walked me to my door and pulled be toward him. He gazed into my eyes And Then He Kissed Me .(And Then He Kissed Me by Patti Berg)

Books used:
Blue-Eyed Devil (Travises, #2) by Lisa Kleypas Victorian England (Cultures of the Past) by Ruth Ashby Blue Jeans by Tuesday Morrigan The Lightkeeper's Ball (Mercy Falls, #3) by Colleen Coble We Danced All Night by Barbara Cartland And Then He Kissed Me (Avon Romance) by Patti Berg

The second way to go about this is to use quotes from books--just make sure to give the book and author credit where credit is due. So, if you'd like to use a quote from your favorite author to describe your date feel free to do so.

Example of how to use Book Quote:

What to wear:
I wore a "radiant red gown" of "deep scarlet" with "silver embroidery". (Page 285 - 286 of Flawless by Carrie Lofty)

Date for the evening:
He said his name was Hardy Cates. Hardy was "a compelling figure. He was good-looking, handsome if you overlooked the crook in a nose that had once been broken. His dark brown hair, as thick and lustrous as mink fur, was cut in short layers. But it was the eyes that seized my attention, blue even at a distances, a volatile color you could never forget once you'd seen it." (Blue-Eyed Devil by Lisa Kleypas)

When and where:
He grabbed my hand and "the world shifted on its axis beneath (MY) feet. (I) stumbled, and suddenly (I)..
Couldn't...
Stop...
Falling..."
We ended up in Dunnottar, Scotland and the year was 1314.
(page 23; The Highlander's Touch by Karen Marie Moning)

What we did:
"The walz was still considered shocking among the older members of society, yet it had been widely accepted for years. However, not many mamas allowed their newly minted debutant daughters to partake in the seductive dance.

(HE) led (ME) through the crush to join the other dancers and pulled (ME) into his arms. (I) tried to keep from getting too intimate.(HE) refused to keep a respectable distance between (US). His hand on the curve of (MY) back kept (US) together." (page 166 of The Accidental Courtesan by Cheryl Ann Smith)

Later that evening....

My happily ever after:
'(HE) cupped (MY) small, serious face in his hands, his thumbs skimming the trace of tears beneath (MY) eyes. His gaze caressed (ME). "Are we to live in sin, love, or will you finally agree to marry me?"

"Yes,. Yes. I'll marry you. Although...I still can't promise to obey you."

(HE) laughed quietly. "We'll Manage around that. If you promise to love me."...

(WE) undressed with haste, tugging at each other's clothes with a clumsiness wrought of desire and fervor.' And dot dot dot (need to keep this PG rated)
(Page 354 of 'Mine Till Midnight' by Lisa Kleypas)

Please note that I substituted pronouns so 'she' became 'I', for example, to fit what I wanted.
Flawless (The Christies, #1) by Carrie Lofty Blue-Eyed Devil (Travises, #2) by Lisa Kleypas The Highlander's Touch (Highlander, #3) by Karen Marie Moning The Accidental Courtesan (School for Brides, #2) by Cheryl Ann Smith Mine Till Midnight (The Hathaways, #1) by Lisa Kleypas

This is a totally versatile challenge and you can use book covers in descriptions. You can write it like a dear diary entry too and say:

Dear Diary,

Tonight I met someone and his name is Duncan. Here is a picture of him:
The Sinner (Return of the Highlanders, #2) by Margaret Mallory

I was wearing my favorite dress:
Flawless (The Christies, #1) by Carrie Lofty

He took me to his beautiful castle:
Castle Roogna (Xanth, #3) by Piers Anthony

We danced:
The Accidental Courtesan (School for Brides, #2) by Cheryl Ann Smith

Together we were Ripe for Scandal:
Ripe for Scandal (The League of Second Sons, #2) by Isobel Carr

And he was Mine Till Midnight:
Mine Till Midnight (The Hathaways, #1) by Lisa Kleypas

Oh, That's cool! I never thought about using covers.
I have lots of options! I better go look for some books! Excited!!!!

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments I may have to steal that last line, Lisarenee. Mine Till Midnight (The Hathaways, #1) by Lisa Kleypas has been on my "re-read" via audiobook for a while now.

He introduced himself as Grimm and told me he had recently escaped from the pages of To Tame A Highland Warrior {Finished 2/18}. I immediately fell in lust with his Scottish accent.

When he asked me to dance I stammered of course. In retrospect, I may not have made the best impression. But with one look at my elegant dress (I was wearing the impeccable dress that recently graced the covers of Changeless {Finished 2/3}), I think he forgot about my verbal stumble.

As he took my hand, pulling me tight against his body, I felt the room spin and my blood rushed to my head. I thought at first these events were caused by my close proximity to his hard body, but then I realized the scene had changed. Instead of elegant cocktail dresses and well coiffed hair, I was surrounded by neon and teased hair. I cursed inwardly, had we really been transported back to the 1980s? "Gag me with a spoon" "Kill me now", I thought. (American Psycho){Finished 2/29}.

Grimm must have sensed my distaste for the current surroundings, because suddenly the room started to spin again. Closing my eyes tightly, I braced myself against his body and prayed the next stop would be more to my liking. When I opened my eyes I found myself in the Otherworld (Thorn Queen {Finished 2/15}). It was still the 1980's, but it was a vast improvement, nonetheless.

The ground was covered with a light layer of snow. So, Grimm and I built The Snowman {Finished 2/14} of my childhood dreams. Then he told me there were a couple of people he really wanted me to meet. When he introduced me to his "other parents" I was shocked. This was just our first date after all. So I felt it was a tad inappropriate. But his mother, Coraline {Finished 2/4}, was very nice to me and I soon felt at ease.

After we had dinner with his parents, he took me around to the estates gardens and thanked me for being such a good sport. He told me he wanted to give me a very special gift. He handed me an antique looking bottle and explained to me what was inside. My jaw crashed to the floor. Grimm had given me my very own Djinn! ( Heat Stroke {Finished 2/19})

I knew what my first wish was going to be. Staring at Grimm in disbelief, I focused very hard on what I wanted. To my amazement, I suddenly found myself in cozy cabin with a blazing fire, a king-sized, satin-covered bed, and a very naked Grimm....He was my Fantasy Lover {Finished 2/20}...in every way and I never needed wishes two or three that night!

To Tame A Highland Warrior (Highlander #2) by Karen Marie Moning Changeless (Parasol Protectorate, #2) by Gail Carriger American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis Thorn Queen (Dark Swan, #2) by Richelle Mead The Snowman by Jo Nesbø Coraline by Neil Gaiman Heat Stroke (Weather Warden, #2) by Rachel Caine Fantasy Lover (Dark-Hunter, #0) by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Dear Diary,
This Valentine day I will spend as always with my Husband.
Work was so hectic lately and we are both a little bit stressed-out, so for our Valentine's special evening we decided to just stay home and relax. Cuddling and watching a movie feels Good in Bed...
While I was reading 'A Dark Kiss of Rapture', book cover gave me an idea to surprise him and dress in something sexy and black.
When I entered the room I saw him Break Out in sweat. He said shakily: "Oh baby, you Fire Me Up!"
And then... Well I will not describe the details but here are some pictures as hint what happened. ;)

Here's my story of a fun valentine's day.

Design Your Perfect Valentine's Day Date
Start: 2/1/2012
End: 3/31/2012
Complete: 4/8

This imaginary valentine’s day I’ll be spending with my best friend Dahlia. I jokingly call her The Black Dahlia, because she has black hair. We are single and we are On the Road to Mr. Right. We decided to go on a road trip across the USA and end up in the city of Angels , Los Angeles. Love is a Mix Tape , and that’s why we are listening to our own mix tape in the car. On the road there are a few Last Chance Saloon s we visit to eat and drink what we can, but our favorite snack to eat in the car is Watermelon . At the end we find our Mr. rights. Dahlia ends up Chasing Harry Winston and I find myself with This Charming Man. And we live happily ever after.

Lisarenee | 7659 comments Here's a fun thing to consider when doing this challenge, there is an app for your camera phone called Forever Yours. It has several covers you can really get into. Observe:

That's your truly up above. The app allows you to manipulate the picture on the screen. You can make it smaller or larger or tilt it just so to get it to mesh better with the cover. I actually took the picture using a mirror so I could see if I tilted to the right angle. Very fun. I suggest you get a friend to help you. Enjoy! I just wish they hadn't cut part of the man's face off.lol

On valentine's day, at noon, I was sitting on bench, in a nearby park, watching squirrels having more fun than me. When a very handsome man sat next to me and introduced himself as Morgan. He told me that a woman as lovely as I was shouldn't look lonely on such a day, and he then invited me on a date that same night. He was so charming that I was at a lack of words, so I just nodded. He winked at me and left. I was to meet him at seven near the same bench.

Back at home, I was very much excited about my date, even if he was a complete stranger. I was wondering what I should wear while creating a mess in my room. Finally, I chose a hot designer top and a pair of Fancy Pants. Not to forget of course, my Yves Saint Laurent pink high heel pumps.

I was twenty minutes late when I got to the park, but to my relief, he was still there. When I apologized to him, he told me not to worry, that every beautiful girl should always have more time for themselves. At that, my heart melted a little. When I asked him where we were going, he said it was a surprise. He just asked me to get in his car, which to my surpise was a Bugatti Veyron Super Sports, and we were gone to our first destination.

He took me to the Blue Diablo, an old renovated theater, to see Casablanca in downtown Montreal. Where we were served Chocolates, as much as we wanted, at our table. At the end of our movie, we went for a walk and we made small talk till we got to the Vieux-Port, where we stopped to watch the fireworks and eat our chocolates leftovers.

On our way back to his car, he bought me a Blue Dahlia to match my eyes, he said. He drove me back to my house and walk me to my doorstep. He kissed my hand and told me what an enchanting evening it had been and that he was hopeful that I agree to see him again. I agreed and kissed him quickly on the lips before saying goodnight and entering my house. Inside, I sat on the floor against the door and I just couldn't keep the smile off my face. I then picked myself up and went to bed where I dreamed of our second date.
