Hello ... My group .. Comfy chair book club, piacenza read this book last summer. It was our big 'summer' book read.
I'm afraid that hardly anybody in my group liked this book and most people didn't finish reading it. I think that it was about 1000 pages too long !
If you want an interesting book to read about India try .. Shantaram. My group loved that one. Happy reading to you too !
