It's time to start nominations for April's Christian Fiction group read. I used the list of categories from the Theme thread and using Random.org, it selected:

Southern

Rules:
1. Nominations are open until the 14th of the month. Rachel will let us know which book has "won" on the 15th.
2. Books must be Christian fiction, or "clean" fiction to be eligible for this read.
3. Books are chosen using Random.org to make it completely fair.
3. One nomination per person.

How about Sugar And Grits by DiAnn Mills?

Is any book set in the South okay, or is there something that makes a book specifically Southern? Just wondering as I have quite a few books set in the deep South, Texas, etc, but I'm not sure if they're specifically considered "Southern" literature.

Nevermind, I just found one on my Kindle that was described as "Southern" by a reviewer, so I'll nominate that :) This Fine Life by Eva Marie Everson.

Sure, Texas is southern to me! But then again I live in MA so CT is southern to me! LOL!

Haha, glad you have such faith in me! It does look good, doesn't it? I've not read a lot of Southern fiction before, so it shall be interesting :)

That's what's awesome about group reads! We're reading so many Amish and Christian fiction books I normally might not have picked up, but they turn out to be interesting!

I did not think I would be reading this one, but then I found out that I already own this and got it when it was a kindle freebie. I like monthly reads that are free!
