The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison
(Kathleen, I read that SK book a while back. As a matter of fact, the 'evil wizard' (can't remember his name for the life of me,) is also the 'bad guy' in The Stand. Both were great books!)
(I remembered: Flagg. He's the evil wizard in EotD and the evil character in The Stand.)

Kathleen, You're welcome. I'd read The Stand years ago when I was still living with my parents (my mom has all of his books.) I'd picked up The Eyes of the Dragon to start my own collection and was surprised to find Flagg in that one too.
