I just finished Wither by Lauren Desefano. It was an interesting idea, but I was left with a lot of questions about the world too. I am going to start A Week to Be Wicked by Tessa Dare today.
I have about twenty pages left in Nora Robert's 200th Book (!!!) The Witness. It's quite good. With my favorite kind of hero--small town sheriff--and a heroine who reminds me of Temperance Brennan.
I started listening to Linda Howard's Dream Man the other day, but didn't really care for the narrator so I picked up an ebook copy. It has been at least ten years, maybe more, since I've read it, but I am finding the over-the-top testosterone fueled hero kind of hilarious. From the moment he and the heroine meet he has an erection. And I'm not being metaphorical!! It's like a divining rod or something. It's an interesting book, and I am enjoying it, but if this weren't a contemporary, it would read like a paranormal shifter story with fated mates.

It's actually not supposed to be funny--at least, parts of it are, but it's a dark book in many ways. It's about a psychic who gets inside the mind of a serial killer and the hero is the cop trying to solve the murders. But it does have it's light bits.
I got it for Kindle so it should be available for Nook too.

Okie, I agree. I liked the concept of the book, but I am not sure if I believed how the world changed because of the virus. Parts of it I understood, but others were a little farfetched. Plus, I didn't really feel that the heroine knew what she wanted most of the time. It's like she had to reminder herself of what she wanted half the time.
Manda, the last book I read that had a psychic as a character was, oh darn it, I can't remember but it's by Kay Hooper- 5 or 6 years ago. I'm gonna get Dream Man, I'm in the market for something different.
Exactly, Kasey! Plus I didn't care for the other two girls either. Way too 'sister-wife' for me. Does that make sense?
If you liked The Hunger Games, you may like Divergent by Veronica Roth. I LOVED that book!! The second in the series is out in June or July.

I finished Tracy Grant's Imperial Scandal today and loved it. Despite the number I've read I always find accounts of Waterloo and the days before and after it fascinating--and moving. Grant makes it so real you can almost smell the smoke of battle.
Amazon had Deborah Smith's Charming Grace free today, and I haven't read it in a long while. It may be next, or I may start Kate Noble's If I Fall.

I agree, Okie! The sister-wife thing was too much. I think that annoyed me the most.
I will have to check Divergent out. Is it the start of a series?

I finished A Week to Be Wicked and loved it. Tessa's books are getting better and better each time and I love how she can make me laugh out loud. I think I am going to read Entwined by Heather Dixon next.
