To start things off, what was the book that you recently read?

The philosophy of the Simpsons

Ashley (readerandwriter) I finished reading "Rainbow Boys" by Alex Sanchez today. It is the first installment of the Rainbow Trilogy.

Carl | 1 comments Hm, most recent book-- you know, it's been so long since I've finished a book that I can't remember. Lately I've been reading so many at once that I can't get through any. I'm almost done with the first book in Gene Wolfe's Book of the Long sun, or new sun, or whatever that first series was called.
How come there are so few of us in this group!? You'd think there would be more people at Berkeley who like to read.

Ashley (readerandwriter) I just finished "The Pact" by Jodi Picoult last night.

Taylor | 1 comments Lola, California: A Novel by Edie Meidav, a new, promising novel that has yet to come out. I ordered an advance copy off ebay after hearing incredible reviews. For the most part, it's set in Berkeley an concerns sexuality, the death penalty, mental breakdown, dystopia, and much more.

Highly recommended.
