I'm trying to remember the name of a book. It setting was supposedly historical, maybe mid-1800s, but a teen girl discovered they were actually 20th (21st?) century people who had been living as if in the past as part of an experiment, and were also being observed as a tourist attraction. The parents had agreed to do this (to "save" kids from modern world problems?), but the kids didn't know. In an medical emergency, they brought in limited meds, but otherwise on their own. I think they were supposed to be able to get out if a life was in danger, but maybe they found out that wasn't so and they were being thoroughly manipulated.
anyway, our heroine escaped and was thrust into the modern world with no experience, and with people chasing her. Does anyone remember this book?
