SKr1619 To all the ladies that read Bared To You after Fifty.. I love that this is going to be a series! I just wanted to know what your thoughts were about the sequel and what the author will go more into depth about...

I read some reviews about Bared To You and people were upset that Eva confessed her secret but Gideon didn't. Do you think he didn't because the author is saving it for the next book? I think she did so it'll make us want to read it more than we already do lol

Who the hell is Dr. Terry and why the instant hostility?

What the HELL is up with Christopher Vidal? I want to know why Gideon doesn't trust him and doesn't want Eva anywhere near him. I know he said that he takes sibling rivalry to a whole new level but why? What happened between the two?

What exactly happened in the Vidal mansion that has Gideon hating it so much? I can guess the whole sexual abuse thing, but who? WHO?!

They go briefly into BDSM and I want to know how Gideon knows of this lifestyle. Eva knows because of therapy but I'm thinking Gideon knows it through personal experience...

Corrine has something up her sleeve. She may come off as sweet and elegant but something isn't right about her.

I LOVE Cary and I hope he comes to his senses. I hope his problems are brought into the second book more.

Nathan... what a twist it would be if she added him into the mix in this sequel, yeah? Who wouldn't love to see Gideon beat this asshole to a pulp?

Any other things I may have missed out on?

Tesa I have a feeling the sequel will delve more into Gideon's abuse at the hands of either a family member (I am guessing) or a close family friend. Dr. Terry will definitely re-emerge and Gideon's ex-fiance will continue to be a thorn in Eva's side, until Gideon makes some kind of grand gesture.

I'm very excited to see what's in store for Cary, and I hope we get to know Gideon's younger sister too. Since Gideon was abused, it makes me wonder what might be happening to her in that house.

marie There are so many what if's in this book. I'm glad Eva's secret is out already because it shows Gideon that she understands. I think when it comes to Gideon more than one person in his family is involved in his abuse. Cary needs to get his crap together. They all need some serious therapy. If I was Gideon I would have my sister out of that house asap!!! Eva is a pretty strong character and is taking me sometime to get used to her. But cannot wait till book two.

Lynette I'm so excited to read the sequel! I loved Fifty Shades and Bared to You was so similar and yet so different. I really think book 2 will be more about Gideon's life and abuse and hopefully some hard core passion-y angst between them! I love that kind of stuff :) I read somewhere that Day had so much material that she had to split it into 2 books, but hopefully not draw it out too much. Fifty Shades Freed was just too long and could have been condensed in my opinion. Either way, I'm super excited for October!!!! :)

Margo Okay, I think that Gideon was abused by his mother and his stepfather. I also don't know if I buy the whole suicide of his father but that just me - I see conspiracy in all families with a secret. I also think that's why Gideon has more shares in his stepfather's company (hush money - or shares in this case).

About Christopher - remember that he is younger then Gideon and I think that when Gideon got out of that home the parents switched targets. And maybe Christopher thinks that Gideon as an older brother shouldn't have left him behind.

His sister - yeah I think she is also abused but I suspect Christopher is doing it (since parents seem to like handsome boys) and that Eva will be the one to help her since she lived thorough it herself.

Dr. Terry - I think the resentment can be because as a kid Gideon told him what was happening and the Dr. didn't believe him or worse told his parents (I don't remember that there was said how old he really was so it could happened, right?)

Corrine - I actually think she was summoned (yes like a demon from hell) by Vidal's do deal with a threat - Eva.

Cary - Has to get his shit together. I don't know how but it's either that or the author will kill him (he will protect Eva or something)

That's about it. Everything will be cleared in next book. Can't wait :)

marie Wow that was awesome summary you came
up with. I agree with most of the stuff you said.

Margo Most... so what do you think differently then me???

Margo yeah I know. I was wondering the same thing.

Cher I think Cary's in big trouble this book. Eva will be with Gideon and that leaves Cary by himself and we've seen how well that's worked.I think the ex will be a big part of this book as well as the abuse. I can't see the ex or Perez giving up anytime soon. I could see the ex dating Chrisopher to get to Gideon and too have Gideon there to protect her.I'm actually scared to read this next book because I think it's going to be an emotional rollercoaster.Wen does the next book come out?

Cher it comes out sometime in October....

Megan I kinda ship Magdalene with Cary...anyone? I'm sure Corrine isn't as nice and friendly as she looks. Her claws might come out in this book. But Eva will be strong enough for it:) Anyway I think Margo's predictions sound like some of them might be true

Margo :D

thank you

=°÷☺^=³¾²õ°ì¾±³Ù³Ù²â You all have brought up some good points...I didn't think about Gideon's sister being abused, but it's certainly possible. If she is, how can he have left her there? He has the means to protect her. I was thinking his mom was the abuser, but, the mom and stepdad team makes more sense.
Lots of unanswered questions....

message 15: by Sieni (new)

Sieni A.M. it'll be cool if they met Mr. Christian Grey and Ana at some fancy event :)

Elizabeth Is it just me, or is October too long to wait for this sequel?

That is what I was thinking, too.

Jennifer Clark Not sure why but I dont think that the mother is part of the abuse. she might posibly know but I dont think she was the Abuser. Both the mother and sister seemed genuine about wanting Gideon around more. But thats just my thought.
As far as Christopher. . . I'm not sure. . If he had been abused also and Gideon knew about it why would it be some important to him to make sure Christopher stays away from Eva?
Dr. Terry. I think he's just a creeper

Natasha is a Book Junkie Margo wrote: "Okay, I think that Gideon was abused by his mother and his stepfather. I also don't know if I buy the whole suicide of his father but that just me - I see conspiracy in all families with a secret. ..."

Oh Margo, just when I had started calming down because of my own sequel theories, I read yours and now I am a mess again because they all make sense. :-D

Natasha is a Book Junkie Kmd wrote: "I'm curious as to what Gideon "forgot" in Eva's apartment that he had to go back up while she stayed in the car. It happened right at the end of the book..."

That was definitely not a coincidence. Something is up there.

Janet I hope that the author focuses on the relationship between Gideon and Eva. I hope that she doesn't bring a third party and they have one of those weird relationships between three people, thats scares me because I have read book that the author think it makes a relationships good it really doesn't thats not real to me. I know I'm reading fiction but when I read a book I want to believe that love can conquer all that why I can see the resemblance between this book and Fifty Shades and I loved that my 50Shades book because it has tragedy but it ended in the way it should between two people.
Gideons Family is so messed up that I can see all of them abusing him because they seem jealous towards him and his relationship with his father.

Ashley Rutter I interviewed Sylvia for my blog, and she gave some details on the sequel! Also, she was so lovely to talk to!!

Chris Gideon despises his brother, Christopher, at least this is the impression BtY leaves me with. I think whatever abuse occurred stems from Christopher and/or the step-father. I don't think Ireland is being abused, she didn't exhibit any of the traits of an abused woman. But again we didn't get a full look at her, just glimpses.

I also don't think that we've heard all of Eva's issues yet. I think there might be other things she's not divulged to Gideon yet. And I hate to say this, but by the end of the book, I was not invested in Cary at all. Something tells me he's going to end up self-destructing and trying to take Eva down with him. Especially now that she's with Gideon and Cary can't ever handle letting himself be happy.

I wonder if Gideon went back up and talked to Cary at the end of the book. While Eva thought he'd left, I think Gideon went back upstairs because he knew Cary was still in the apartment and he was going to either talk to or threaten Cary about not hurting Eva.

Yes, not sure why I typed the wrong thing. It is Reflections Into You.

Genney Blass The sequel is going to sold out by the time it hit the stores. I hear there is another book after this one. Has anyone ever heard of Destined to you, by Indigo Bloome, some websites are recommending this book, since we in this group have read 50 Shades and Beautiful Disaster.

Becca I think a man sexually abused him because when he had that nightmare he said "get off of me you bastard" you wouldn't say that to a women mostly you say that to men. just my theory no one has to agree with it.

Veronica The sequel i think well probably tell use what happens in gideons past.now i think his mom raped him or did something cause when she speaks it just sounds creepy to me idk ha .i so hope cary gets his life straight, but he is probably gonna do something stupid, and finally nathen i think he is gonna be back this book or next. he is probably gonna do something cause something always happens to the main characters

I added a discussion for Destined to Play along with the sample if you want to check it out. Destined to Play

Samantha hi love fiffty shades of grey read it 3 times

read bared to you it was good but it reminds me of fifty shades cart wait to read book two

just finished destined to play very good cart belive lelf the ending like that when is book two out ;)

message 32: by Robin (new)

Robin I just finished Bared to You after reading the Fifty Shades trilogy twice. I liked it a lot, but still much preferred Fifty Shades and found Bared to You more of an "echo." I am looking forward to book two, but if E L James comes out with book four first, that will be my priority. The characters in both series are enthralling!

Sumara Naqvi Just a though do you think that Dr. Terry might be related to Gideon because I know that people think he might be his theripst but the way Eva describe him he seem to closer in age to Gideon then old enough to be his therpist. I am cerious to find out what happened in his past and also wonder why he went back up to the apartment at the end of the book. I can't wait till Oct for the second and does anyone know when the third on is going to be coming out

Chris Sumara, the author said the third in the series will be out in December. It also sounds like they are trying to get Reflected in You out sooner than October.

Genney Blass @ Becca, I do to, I think it was the step-brother, because remember he doesn't want him around Eva at all, even Eva's friend told her the same. Hmm, I am so ready to read the second book, but by the time I get that book I might as well read again Bared to You, one more time.

Paris (kerbytejas) Kmd wrote: "I'm curious as to what Gideon "forgot" in Eva's apartment that he had to go back up while she stayed in the car. It happened right at the end of the book..."

yeah that was interesting... i too wonder what it is

Genney Blass Now I have to read the end of the book again. I was curious about it.

Becca Genney wrote: "@ Becca, I do to, I think it was the step-brother, because remember he doesn't want him around Eva at all, even Eva's friend told her the same. Hmm, I am so ready to read the second book, but by t..."
Yeah I was thinking that too! but at the same time it just seems too predictable and that maybe the author is making us think that and then it's gonna be someone else.

Paris (kerbytejas) Becca wrote: "Genney wrote: "@ Becca, I do to, I think it was the step-brother, because remember he doesn't want him around Eva at all, even Eva's friend told her the same. Hmm, I am so ready to read the second..."

i don't see the step brother as the abuser - he is younger and it seem logical

Samar Margo wrote: "Okay, I think that Gideon was abused by his mother and his stepfather. I also don't know if I buy the whole suicide of his father but that just me - I see conspiracy in all families with a secret. ..."

Yes I believe that his mother had a hand in his abuse because when she went to hug him Eva said that it appeared that she had a look of more than love also how Gideon snapped at her that Cary is a friend of his. If not her then they subjected there kids to some kind of swingers BDSM club held at there house.

Christopher you may be right about this one

Cary I think will become a thorn to Gideon because I see him becoming needy and irresponsible and what man wants there woman around that.

Corrine I believed Gideon and at the same time I didn't, why when he introduced Eva he mentioned her as a friend? Is he harboring feelings for her?

Ireland is definitely being abused they aren't going to do two kids and not three

Samar Chris wrote: "Gideon despises his brother, Christopher, at least this is the impression BtY leaves me with. I think whatever abuse occurred stems from Christopher and/or the step-father. I don't think Ireland is..."

I wondered the same thing because what could he have forgotten he didn't come in with anything. I also believe Eva has to have some other demons, like had a lot of partners or used drugs something and I'm leaning towards drugs because what else could she've been doing to earn group therapy for rebellious teens.

I'm wondering where did Gideon get all of his money, if his father was a con artist look at Madoff they take the liquid money back and auction off the rest and insurance don't pay for suicide.

I want Gideon to come out of his secrets, and let Eva in. Dr Terry was probably a bully from childhood I'm thinking.

Renzel where i can read full chapter of this story!! does anyone know? i'm dying to read it!!!!!

Chris Renzel wrote: "where i can read full chapter of this story!! does anyone know? i'm dying to read it!!!!!"

If you're looking for Bared To You.. if you have a Kindle, they have sample chapters available. Otherwise http://www.goodreads.com/story/confir...

Renzel It only contains chapter 1 to 3.....:-(.....

Pokwita i'm elated of course... i think gideon might have been raped or molested given the fact that he has this kind of appetite for sexual intimacy. (you could either be put off by it or drawn). nevertheless, we wouldn't really know unless we read the 2nd installment. looking forward here ='..'=

Keighley need to reread this book! I raced through it desperate for the sequel, then discovered book 2 isnt out until October! I enjoyed the book so much, so similar to 50shades but so different at same time.

Cant wait to find out what happened to Gideon. the only thing I didnt enjoy was the BDSM proposal, although at least he explained what eh wanted more clearly than Christian Grey!

Beatrice there's too many things missing that don't make sense, I can't wait for the second book to get more clarification. I think there's going to be a lot of juicy stuff happening. I know one thing I hope that Nathan shows up I like to see him get what's coming to him.

Jaime Pendleton I am thinking that Corrine is going to dig into Eva's past and find out her secret that she was molested. Making it pubic so it will cause a rift between Eva and Gideon. I also think Eva's dad will play a bigger part.

message 49: by Erin (new) - rated it 3 stars

Erin I really hope Gideon will open up to Eva about his past. She obviously knows something is wrong and isn't pushing him (thanks to her therapy background) but you can only take that for so long. Even thought they are both dysfunctional I think they belong together. When Gideon says his nightmares are in his mother and step fathers house I agree it is a family member. But Gideon also said the only other woman to be in his home was his mother. So is she part of the abuse? And if Gideon is so willing to punish Nathan, why not his abuser? Or is he just embarrassed being a man admitting to being sexually abused? I'm sure it is hard man or woman. Can't wait to find out what happens.

Cary needs to learn to function with Eva around, and clearly that's not going very well for him. Eva needs to straighten him out.

I just read a snippet about Reflected In You
even more excited about it now! I hope it does come out before October.
