Natalie Hey guys, the First chapter is on Reflected in you. Here's the link;

Enjoy ; )

Katrina such an awesome chapter!.gee seems liek gideon is getting a bit too possessive there though lol

Anastasia Well it looks like so far the sequel will entail paragraphs of exposition to cover the previous book and even more totally unnecessary physical description!

Which is good because, you know, we were in danger of forgetting that Gideon was still hot and hadn't been maimed horribly between books.

Gideon already knows about Ava's past, so that will not work. She has something else up her nasty sleeve!

message 106: by Mx3 (new) - rated it 5 stars

Mx3 I think Corrine is going to play on Eva's insecurities about her (Corrine) and Gideon's past engagement we all read about her implying that she talks to G -man daily.

Plus the dig that G was so obsessed with her when engaged, but G already toot Eva that he was relieved when the engagement was broken. Corrine kind of swayed it that G proposed when it was the other way around.

Six weeks to Reflected.

message 107: by Lara (new)

Lara I too can't wait for the next installment.

I think we may learn more Gideons past and I also think his abuser will prove to be blond!

Whay hasn't Eva picked up the fact that he has twice stated "Consensual Sex", I know that she gets it that he must have suffered some abuse but I would still want to question it.

I too wonder what did Gideon go back to her appartment for?

Lauren (aplpeach) Tanya wrote: "Did anyone catch the comment that he has only had consensual sex in his hotel, before her? Why throw in the word consensual. To me that would be already implied..

So did he force anyone to have..."

I think he just meant by that, that no one has ever been to his house. that he only takes people to the hotel. Plus we don''t know what happened to him yet, so the consensual part might have something to do with what happened to him...

message 109: by Katrina (new) - added it

Katrina you'd think that Eva would ask him about the "consensual sex".She obviously realizes he had been abused but surely she'd want to know what happened and try to help him.maybe she just doesn't want to push him.She comes off a bit insensitive though

message 110: by Kristy (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kristy Mills Can't wait for the sequel. But I'm kind of annoyed with the end of the book. I'm annoyed how Gideon treated Eva at that dinner, ignoring her for Corrine. Then he comes to her and explains his past relationship with Corrine to Eva and Eva is suddenly OK with it and forgives him for treating her like crap hours before? That made me mad. I think Gideon should have had to work a little harder to make it up to her. He knew she was feeling a little insecure already, he took her to the limo to prove to her that she is the one he wants, but then ignores her the rest of the evening. Ticked me off.

So yeah, I'm excited to read the rest of this story because I'm hoping he can let his friendship with Corrine go. She is trouble.

message 111: by Katrina (new) - added it

Katrina sylvia day also mentioned on twitter that she will be addressing that dinner scene and we will find out why gideon ignored eva.iwas really annoyed with that scene too.The way he treated her was so mean and he didn't even explain to eva why he did it.Dr Lucas will be in the sequel as well as corinne.i expect lots of trouble

Mx3 Katrina wrote: "sylvia day also mentioned on twitter that she will be addressing that dinner scene and we will find out why gideon ignored eva.iwas really annoyed with that scene too.The way he treated her was so ..."
Yes there was a poll on this site about BTY and the Corrine dinner won!! I think it was about getting his POV about his ignoring Eva at the dinner.

He was holding her hand under the table, so why he had his back to her was weird almost like he didn't want to give in to another demand from Eva, after the sex in the limo scene.

message 113: by Iamme (new) - rated it 5 stars

Iamme There's so much in this discussion I don't know where to begin. In order for the story to develop sequels ect the storyline needs to be uncovered bit by bit and I've now come to the conclusion that this is the best course of action.

I dont trust Corrine, she loves Gideon and she desperately wants him back, the sad truth is she's in love with a man she never really knew, a man that never allowed her to get that close. Eva and Gideon have allowed themselves access in to their lives, there isn't full disclosure but they are getting there.

Eva picked up on a valid point about the way Gideon's mum looked at him, I have a feeling that she was involved in the abuse, maybe that's why Christopher hates him so much because he feels that he has all the love.

Im just soo excited for this story, I need to pre-order

message 114: by Katrina (new) - added it

Katrina i think that maybe Gideon wanted Eva to know that she was his and even if he doesn't give her his full attention, that she is always in his mind. That might be why he was ignoring her.i am very curious toread that scene from his POV.

I definitely think Gideon's mother knew about his abuse.I really think something sinister is going on there

OOOO Me too! I would love to read the whole book from his POV now that you mention it.

Ugh I need to stop reading this thread, it is making the wait for the second book so much harder.

message 116: by Katrina (new) - added it

Katrina not long to go now til we can get our hands on Reflected.i know i am going to have to try to not read it all in one sitting.i'll need to prolong it so i don't suffer from more withdrawals for the final book lol

message 117: by Kristy (last edited Sep 03, 2012 08:48PM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kristy Mills I know. I always try to do that, but I have such bad self control and can never MAKE myself put a book down when I'm this into it. I keep tapping my Kindle screen and seeing the percentage get larger and larger and I try to make myself stop. But I never can. :( I gobble it up and then and enjoy the reading high. Then I come to the last page and crash... NNNNNNOOOOOOOO.

So yeah, can't wait for book 2, to start this process over again.

message 125: by Breeze (new) - rated it 4 stars

Breeze Gideon's father seemed disinterested in Eva; Mom gushed over her similiar to Christians (50 shades) mother did but I don't think it has anything to do with the dad since that would parallel Eva upbringing too much. I'm thinking the sibling rivalry could be the sexual tone. Christopher is into BDSM and stole/abused Gideons females interests. Both men have sexual, control and possesion issues. I like Eva better than Ana! I just finished Gabriels Inferno WHAT a difference in women and the difference in their personalities due to similiar history's. Lastly, the Dr. Terry might simply be a past therapist or a BDSM expert..........

Good I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one either. I felt like he got off way to easy for that.

I agree about Corrine causing problems. I hate her already. My stomach is churning at the thought of how she might stir up the story. But that is the sign of a good book if I am so emotionally wrapped up in it my stomach hurts. :) YAY!

Corrine... BOO!

message 127: by Katrina (new) - added it

Katrina Sylvia Day mentioned on Twitter today that she thinks "reflected in you" is better than "bared to you" and that she cried several times while writing it.i think that either Gideon and Eva will break up or he will reveal his traumatic past

message 128: by Kristy (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kristy Mills They have to break up at least once. As painful as that is to read, it drives the emotions higher. Thanks for updating us Katrina. :)

message 129: by Lisa (new) - rated it 4 stars

Lisa Kristy wrote: "They have to break up at least once. As painful as that is to read, it drives the emotions higher. Thanks for updating us Katrina. :)"

As long as Gideon doesn't turn to Corrine for comfort I can handle a short break up. :)

message 130: by Kristy (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kristy Mills UGH, GOSH I didn't even think of that! That might ruin it for me. I don't know if I could be on team Gideon if he did that. I'm not very forgiving. (I'm still angry with Christian Grey over seeking out Mrs. Robinson for emotional support in the last book. He's another one that got off too easy in my opinion.) I'm a grudge holder. :(

Amy | Foxy Blogs Kristy wrote: "I'm a grudge holder."

message 132: by Katrina (new) - added it

Katrina yes as much as it is painful to see our favourite couples fight and break up,those emotional scenes do bring a new dynamic to the story. We all know in the end all with be happy and forgiven.
I agree about christian getting off too easy in Fifty Shades.I hated how he blamed Ana and accused her of things, yet he didn't even apologize or admit he did anything wrong.I don't think Gideon will physically turn to Corinne but i do think he will continue to be her friend. Will only make things worse given her feelings for him

Just think, we will all plow through this next book in just a few more weeks .. be left hanging on the edge of our sanity waiting for the final book, having this same conversation.... I am so dreading that but I can hardly wait !!

Natalie Hey guys for those not on FB or who haven't seen it, here is another snippet from Sylvia Days FB page from Reflected in you. Enjoy.

Snippet time! And it's a *snippet* of REFLECTED IN YOU so it's short and a tease so look away if it'll drive you crazy. :)

(also, may be changed or deleted - you never know until the final book is out):

Angus dropped me off at the curb in front of the Crossfire and I hurried out of the heat into the cool lobby. I managed to catch an open elevator just before the doors closed. There were a half-dozen other people in the car with me, forming two groups that chatted among themselves. I stood in the front corner and tried to put my personal life out of my mind. I couldn’t deal with it at work.

“Hey, we passed our floor, the girl next to me said.

I looked at the needle over the door.

“The buttons aren’t working, said the guy nearest the control panel. He stabbed repeatedly at all the numbers, but none of them lit up... except for the one for the top floor.

My pulse quickened.

“Use the emergency phone, one of the other girls said.

The car raced up and the butterflies in my stomach got worse with every floor we passed. The elevator finally came to a gliding stop at the top and the doors opened.

Gideon stood on the threshold, his face a gorgeous impassive mask. His eyes were brilliantly blue... and cold as ice. The sight of him took my breath away.

No one in the car said a word. I didn’t move, praying the doors would hurry up and close. Gideon reached in, grabbed my elbow, and hauled me out...

message 140: by Katrina (new) - added it

Katrina it does sound like Eva and Gideon are fighting but why is Angus dropping her off? you'd think Eva wouyldn't want to be driven by him.unless maybe Eva and Gideon have fought over the phone or something. That snippet sure is a teaser.God Gideon is so sexy!.He probably saw her arrive on the security monitor and overtook her elevator lol

message 144: by Katrina (new) - added it

Katrina what is the trust phrase?sounds interesting :).
All those snippets we have received are just a big huge tease!.i know i am going to devour the book all at once lol

Natalie I'm sure this could be nothing, but i have to share as it's been niggling me. Chapter 10 BTY, when Gideon finds Eva in the italian restaurant after the hotel walk out; Gideon says to her "I can't be here," "I can't be in public right now. Will you come home with me?"

It almost seems that he didn't want to be seen out on the streets or bump into someone. Anyone else pick up on that?

message 146: by Katrina (new) - added it

Katrina i found that line a bit strange too.I assumed that he meant that he was too upset over her walking out,and that he didn't want to show his emotions in public.it was a strange thing to say though.Maybe he had started thinking about his traumatic past and the meories had come back making him insecure?it's possible he could have been worried about the papparazzi

message 147: by Clair (new) - rated it 5 stars

Clair McKane I assumed it was in case the paparazzi had followed them x

Amy | Foxy Blogs The snippets are going to make me feel like 'deja vu' when the book comes out beause I'll forget them and then be wondering why I feel like I know this when the book comes out. Lol.
