Mike, is SMH=Society for Military History? I was a member myself with its interesting journal. I'm thinking of starting back up again.

Bryan, yes it is. I've been a member for about two years. I greatly enjoyed the conference this past weekend, but I think the journal alone is worth the price of admission.

I agree; I never got a chance to go to the conferences, but I really enjoyed the journal. I joined as a grad student when I was dabbling in naval/military history.

Well Duane I know that you have been waiting for this book to arrive and glad that you have it in hand.

The book did not arrive today.

Oh Vheissu - alas. California is still reporting spotty deliveries. And nothing yet from Oregon or the state of Washington. Keep letting us know; we want to make sure that everyone who was supposed to receive the book does receive it. That is why I am keeping on top of the list and contacting folks.

Bentley, mine has not arrived yet but if it is getting some delivery in California today am anticipating I'll see it tomorrow. I'll post here when it reaches me. Good to see lots of folks are getting thiers today. Given that they started sending them out late last week this is good.
