It's interesting that we've had four responses so far and they're all different! What are the odds...
Okay. I'm putting six year end dates on these since we want to capture comments from existing and new people as they join. Good questions.
We now have six polls out there and counting! Access them from the bottom of the home page or from the group list at the top right of every screen. Click on "more polls" to see all of them.
One thing to note about all of the questions in the polls...while we've provided suggested answers, you can write in your own if your preferred one isn't shown.
Look on th right side at the top of each page where you see the site listings (group home, discussions, members, etc.). Polls is on that list.
Additionally, from the group home page, At the bottom right, you'll see one poll listing and a link to more polls.

Well, if any of you are checking in from time to time to see the poll results, you know that:
1. Most of you think the entire Homicide Department represents the Candy Thief! Not just one person but a coordinated effort by the whole group.
2. Roarke (big surprise) is the most favorite character in the series.
3. Nadine Furst is the character you want to see front in center in a romantic storyline.
4. Naked in Death, where it all started, is the most favorite book in the series.
5. It's a tie between Possession in Death (In Death, #31.5) and Interlude in Death for most favorite novella (though not many have voted in this poll).
6. Most have read the series more than once (about 52%) but that still leaves many of you still going through the series for the first time.
If you haven't voted in our group poll, you can do so by selecting them from the home page or the option box on any page in the upper right corner.

#3 That's because we want to keep all the guys for ourselves. Love Nadine though.

Poll Update
1. Most favorite character
Roarke is still in the lead (49%) with Eve coming in second (39%). The dark haired, blue eyed sexy guy is still the main draw for this series.Â
2. The character you'd like to see in a major storyline
Nadine Furst still has a slight edge over Troy Trueheart (37% vs 32%) but it's close enough to say we probably deserve to have a story for both of them! Â
3. Favorite novella
Possession in Death (In Death, #31.5) is still in the lead but we haven't had many votes for this poll. It might mean that most don't like any of them (that answer was just added). If you haven't cast a vote in this one, please do so. There's even a write-in selection for not having read any of them.Â
4. Who's the Candy Thief?
Well, it's a tie between all of them (conspiracy of everyone who knows Eve at Cop Central) and the entire Homicide Department. Commander Whitney is a close third.Â
5. Favorite full-length book
Naked in Death is still the front runner with Innocent in Death and Conspiracy in Death tied for second. The first book in the series is the one that seems to be nostalgically the closest to our hearts.Â
6. How many times have you re-read the series?
Most of our members have either only read the series once or not completed it yet (49%). However, 44% of us have read the series at least twice!
7. Your favorite supporting character (aside from Peabody and McNab)
This is a new poll and we still don't have a lot of responses but so far, Mavis is the front runner. If you haven't taken this poll yet, here's the link.Â

Poll Update #2
1. Most favorite character
Roarke is still in the lead and increasing the margin (51%) with Eve coming in second (39%). Apparently, he still does it for most of us!
2. The character you'd like to see in a major storyline
Nadine Furst still has a slight edge over Troy Trueheart (36% vs 31%) but their percentages dropped as Baxter (12%) and Morris (10%) get more votes. Hey, we need some stories for all of them!
3. Favorite novella
Possession in Death (In Death, #31.5) is still in the lead (38%), followed by Interlude in Death (21%). Maybe Taken in Death, the new book scheduled for release in 2013, might give Possession a challenge.Â
4. Who's the Candy Thief?
There's a slight lead for all of them being involved (23%) versus just the Homicide Department (21%) and we may be on to something here. Â Baxter passed Commander Whitney as the close third.Â
5. Favorite full-length book
Naked in Death is still the front runner (31%) and Innocent in Death comes in second (16%). The first book seems to be the one that lives in our heart.Â
6. How many times have you re-read the series?
Most of our members still have either only read the series once or not completed it yet (49%). However, 33% of us have read the series at least three times or more with 19% having read it twice. This means that 51% of us have re-read the series. That's pretty amazing.Â
7. Your favorite supporting character (aside from Peabody and McNab)
Summerset and Mavis are tied at 33% each. We still don't have a lot of votes in so if you haven't taken this poll yet, here's the link. (I fixed it so that it's no longer closed.)

Poll Update #3
1. Most favorite character
Roarke is still in the lead and increasing the margin (52%) with Eve coming in second (37%). Peabody is a distant 3rd.
2. The character you'd like to see in a major storyline
Nadine Furst now has a commanding lead over Troy Trueheart (41% vs 27%) but Troy's percentage dropped as Baxter (16%) got some more love. Maybe in 2014 Nadine finds love???
3. Favorite novella
Possession in Death (In Death, #31.5) has surged ahead and is the popular vote (32%), followed by Interlude in Death (15%), a distant second.
4. Who's the Candy Thief?
Only a few votes separates the leader, all of them being involved (21%), versus Baxter (20%) and the entire Homicide Department (18%). Baxter had a big surge since the last update. No matter which, everyone seems to believe he's involved at a minimum.
5. Favorite full-length book
Naked in Death is still the group favorite (35%) and Innocent in Death still comes in second (12%) but lost a little ground. Â
6. How many times have you re-read the series?
Most of our members have read the series more than once (52%), which is pretty incredible. The rest have either only read the series once or not completed it yet (48%).
7. Your favorite supporting character (aside from Peabody and McNab)
Summerset now has a slight lead over Mavis (30% vs 27%). Dr. Mira comes in at a close third (22%). We do seem to appreciate the characters that love Eve and Roarke unconditionally.
8. Which author did you read first - J. D. Robb or Nora Roberts?
Most of you started with Nora (57%) and less than 10% of our members haven't read her yet. That's a surprising number given how different these books are to Nora's stories.
If you have ideas for other questions we should include in our polls, post them here!

Most hated or despised villain? Or the most sadistic, methodical or psycho villain? Or the villain you least suspected...? Villains have a starring role in each book. Just thinking about which one was most feared or hated...

That's a good one! I'll create a list from the topic we started a few months ago.

Here's the link to the new poll.
I don't recommend you take it if you haven't completed the series at least once. As you can write-in names other than those currently included, there could be spoilers!
