Just started Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night (Immortals After Dark, #4) by Kresley Cole . Yum. Robert Petkoff.

Christine (Cagnes) (cagnes) | 131 comments I've read all the Parasol Protectorate books, but never tried the audiobooks... wish I had!

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 296 comments I'm currently listening to Betrayal in Death (In Death, #12) by J.D. Robb and Can You Keep a Secret? by Sophie Kinsella - both "buddy read" and I'm to start another one The Dressmaker A Novel by Kate Alcott tomorrow! Eep!

I loved The Winter Sea, the book & the performance! Also enjoying the narrator of The Last Mermaid!

Lupi, do you still work at BR? I'm heading that way tomorrow, staying at the Grand & definitely going to Island View, but I doubt if we'll make it to BR.

Great! I've love to see you too, I'll be at the Baccarat table.

Tina "IRead2Escape" (tinar1121) I am right now listening to Glass Houses (The Morganville Vampires, #1) by Rachel Caine by Rachel Caine. The narrarator Cynthia Holloway is pretty good. I'm only 1bout 17% in, so I can't say for complete honesty that it's done well. So far, so good, though.

I started this series in print, then the audiobooks were published, so I switched to audio around the 6th entry. I have loved it since, I got used to the way she reads the books, but now the new release, which I was looking forward to, is narrated by another narrator, and she might be better, but I hate when they switch narrators and the middle of a series, so I haven't listened to it. I'm sure I eventually will, but I'm not in a hurry. IMO this series gets better and better with each installment.

Tina "IRead2Escape" (tinar1121) That's really good to know because I'm enjoying the first so much. I hate when they change a narrator, too.

OK, while on vacation I managed to finish Be Mine Tonight (Brotherhood of Blood, #1) by Kathryn Smith This was a good introduction to the series, I'm definitely intrigued and plan to continue with the series. Narrator Vanessa Hart did a real good job with the narration.
I'm now listening to Bared to You (Crossfire, #1) by Sylvia Day

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 296 comments I finished Daughter of Smoke and Bone (Daughter of Smoke and Bone, #1) by Laini Taylor last night; wonderfully narrated.

Currently listening to Branded by Fire (Psy-Changeling, #6) by Nalini Singh and doing it as a "buddy read." Love this series.

I planned on reading that one, but since you liked the narration, I think I'll listen to the audiobook instead! Just put in a request for the cd's at my library, sure do wish they had it on overdrive.

I just finished Lion in the Valley (Amelia Peabody, #4) by Elizabeth Peters . And now I've started listening to Purity in Death (In Death, #15) by J.D. Robb . I love the narration for both of these series, so much fun to listen to!

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 296 comments Oh, I hope you like it, Christine. It won an Audie Award for the Fantasy division.

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 296 comments I must get back to the Amelia Peabody series!

Christine (Cagnes) (cagnes) | 131 comments Lisa Kay wrote: "Oh, I hope you like it, Christine. It won an Audie Award for the Fantasy division."
That's good to hear!

Amelia cracks me up, love her!

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 296 comments Yeah, she's fun. Love the In Death series, too. **sigh** Too bad I have to eat and sleep.

Christine (Cagnes) (cagnes) | 131 comments Lisa Kay wrote: "Yeah, she's fun. Love the In Death series, too. **sigh** Too bad I have to eat and sleep."

LOL! Eating is not a problem, I read while I eat. Now, if only I could figure out a way listen to an audiobook while sleeping! ;-)

I plan to start listening to The Peach Keeper by Sarah Addison Allen next.

Last week, I signed up for a library card at a neighboring parish & compared to my library, they have tons of audiobooks for download on overdrive. So excited, like a kid in the candy shop trying to decide what I want to listen to!

message 29: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 296 comments Yeah, we have a lot at our library, but still... I have thought of driving to SF and getting my library card there. They have even more. If I download, it is never overdue.

I finished Bared to You (Crossfire, #1) by Sylvia Day I liked it, but the similarities to Fifty Shades bothered me a little,(no BDMS here, I was glad) the narration was very good, a new narrator, btw, when she masters her male voices she'll be excellent.
I' almost finish with Thief of Shadows (Maiden Lane, #4) by Elizabeth Hoyt I love this series, so I'm enjoying it, narration is very good.
Next I'm not sure if I'll lsiten to Once Burned (Night Prince, #1) by Jeaniene Frost or Chasing Magic (Downside Ghosts, #5) by Stacia Kane
