It's hard to do reviews when you've already read further into a series, but here goes.
Mercy Smith, a very dominant cat from DarkRiver is having a hard time finding just the right mate. In fact, she has basically given up on the idea entirely.
Riley Kincaid, Second in the Snowdancer Wolves, has known Mercy for years but is suddenly taking a much closer look. Trouble is, he is as dominant as Mercy and swears he wants a Suzie homemaker for a mate. But he's wanting to do a little more than just looking at Mercy, and she's looking right back.
Just the thing they need to spend time working together happens. A changeling researcher is kidnapped from DarkRiver territory and they must work together to save him. Who are the mysterious kidnappers? Is it Psy? Could it be the humans? It is a full scale disaster in the making and why are random Psy committing acts of violence?
This one is a little angsty just because of the Cat vs Wolf thing. Could they even have children and if so would they be able to shift, and into what? Who would be giving up their pack? Who is more dominant? Can Riley learn to be more tolerant and less protective of Mercy and will she give him the chance?
Lots of questions but if I answered them you wouldn't need to read the book, and you do need to read it.

To-Be-Continued? Probably
Review: Clever little romantic mystery on the planet St. Helen's. Settlers from earth have inhabited this world for over 200 years. They were cut off from home and had to adapt to using all the foreign materials and technology to survive as all earth materials disintegrated. Included in this process was making sure the settlers made the best marriage matches to ensure surviving on this world, so it is tabu when couples decide to marry on their own. The settlers also developed psychic skills on this planet and everyone has a "talent" or are a "prism", which works with the talents to use their power. Amaryllis is a high gradient prism and Lucas is the head of Losestaraid an off the charts talent (psychic vampire) that hires her to assist with his company espionage problem. She then enlists him in her little mystery of finding out if the death of a colleague was more than an accident. She's a little prissy, by the book and uptight. He's like a western cowboy with a little Indiana jones added in and between the two they compliment each others powers and find themselves extremely attracted to each other. Only problem, they have both enlisted with Synergistic Connections to be matched up for a mate, so their fling will be short unless they go against their world's traditions. It was an enjoyable romantic read, on the light and fluffy side and the sexometer scale. The alternate world was fun and entertaining.

Hey, what about ebooks? u can read on your comp too!"
I do that too Janelea, I've got about 2000 ebooks :)

So favorite series, will be back shortly with my pick.

Decided to go with something wolfie this time... Trying

Another question I probably should have asked before I started reading... Favorite shelf, can we pick anything from the shelf, or does it have to be a series we have already started?

Doesn't have any conditions attached other than it must be on the shelf and must be at least 200 pages long and can't be a graphic novel.

So pick something you really want to read is my best advice :D

Took me a while to get into this second installment. I thought it was just the busy week, but I think it was the pace of the book. Not sure I liked the use of short paragraphs from everyone's perspective. Didn't help with the flow of the book
The new character Cole appears to be a bit self-indulgent and needs a good slap, I missed some of the old characters, but Isabel is fab, Grace and Sam are adorable.
The pace really picked up towards the end, that was somewhat predictable. It really felt a lot like a filler book. I do think I'll read the next one though, as I feel it should be much better.

And Yay!!!! that means our first stamp!
I'll borrow Alyssa's stamp dance *stampey, stamp, stamp*

Second, I know I should have been reading my free space book, but I was so excited to read my newly chosen book that I read all yesterday into the late evening and again today, and I've finished my favorite series read! Here's the review.

This is the second book in the Walker Paper series. Joanne Walker is a cop who used to be on the payroll as a mechanic, but now walks the street beat. She also recently found out she's a Shaman, but has not quite come to terms with that yet. This book sees her trying to accept more of the magical side, and leaning how to tell the good beings from the bad. I like that there was a bit of character development in this one, although I felt at times it was a bit backwards. I also wish there was a bit more romance :-) But, overall I enjoyed this book and look forward to the next one.
Now back to Tempest Rising since I've decided I am going to relax and read for at least another 4 hours (unless I really need to go back downstairs and get that cupcake that's calling to me)!

Did you like this one better than the first? I got lost with all the fae and then the coyote moments in the first one, that I haven't continued on yet.

You now have an updated BINGO card with a stamp on 'young-adult-paranormal'.
[Your updated BINGO card can be viewed on page 1]
Good Job!! :D

I liked it about the same. I think there is less introducing of characters, but more in developing her powers. I do think it's worth reading the second one though. And I just now put the third one on hold at the library!

Sue, I've got the first 3 books in that series, cause I got the 3rd one free somehow then had to chase up the first 2. LOL. Haven't read them yet though. Maybe I should bump them up the list.

I really enjoy this series of books and this one was a good addition. All books centre around a group of Breed Warriors called The Order. Breed are somewhat like Vampires, but not
Each book takes a Different member of The Order and they find a mate whilst fighting some kind of enemy.
This book is about Sterling Chase and his battle with bloodlust. It was about time that Chase got his own book. I think his mate is kick ass and there are some hints at the origins of the breed mates.
