"“We hit them in ways they’ll never suspect,�� I breathed excitedly.
“But we can’t ever get caught,�� Tory said seriously.

MY HEART. MY MIND. MY EVERYTHING. This series is going to kill me. I love it.
If things keep evolving this way, I'll have a heart attack while I'm desperately fangirling, having a fit of laughter, being in utter shock and swooning over these characters, all at once.
Oh, and did I mention we get a few chapters from Orion's, Darius', Max's, Caleb's and Seth's perspective? Because I honestly thought I was going to faint of excitement.

“Did you just growl at me?��
“Why do you insist on baiting me?�� he asked, his voice low, his grip on me unrelenting.
“Why do you make it so easy?�� I flicked the coin back into his lap and he released me.

I can't form coherent thoughts because I'm literally dying to start the third book, so I'll do my best to sum everything up in 10 main points, but sweet Pegasus, it's going to be difficult.

1️⃣ Firstly, Tory and Darcy are killing it. LIKE LEGIT killing it. If I thought they were badass before, Fae, oh, Fae, this new level of badass-ness just changed the entire game.

"Everyone knows, karma’s a bitch. And today her name was Tory Vega."

She's my favorite bitch then. And I just loved how sweet Darcy refused to bend or break as well.

“Iron is made stronger in the hottest part of the fire, Seth. You didn't break me, you forged me.��

Not only do they not break, but they decide to pay the Heirs back for everything and they are doing it deliciously spectacular, picking each of them apart and tormenting them in the most unique and enjoyable way possible. The best part? They don't even know it's them. 🤭

2️⃣ WHERE can I get a Lance Orion, Darius Acrux or a Caleb Altair? I repeat, where can I get... oh, you get my point. THEY WERE the frosting of my cupcake, the cherry of my ice-cream and the chocolate chips on my cookie.

"Bad Tory. Don’t look at the jackass like that. He might look good enough to eat but he’d sure as shit give you indigestion."

Bad Mara too... because my heart keeps doing flip-flaps every time these little devils come into the frame.

3️⃣ The payback involving the Pegasus is incredible. I laughed so damn much and I don't think I'll ever be able to look at any flying horse without tears of laughter in my eyes after this book. Every scene with them was simply priceless.

4️⃣ The new concepts of Star Bond relationships are really interesting. I'm a sucker for Mates (so cliché, I know, but I just love it)

5️⃣ The relationships are EVERYTHING.

That Bond between them is touching. And funny. And I love it. And I love them.

"I’d found him blind drunk in his apartment after he’d tried to drink away his longing for me and I’d ended up staying there for two nights in his bed. The damn bond was twisted and humiliating sometimes. Thankfully we’d managed to resist the temptation to spoon each other. And we hadn’t spoken about it since."

This scene cracked me. If there ever was a bromance I loved more than theirs, it just lost its no 1 spot after this scene.

•Tory and Caleb - feeding us the spice we've been craving

I love these two; their teasing, their games, their chemistry. And Caleb is definitely one of my favorites, but I can't help but look at them and know they're doomed. I've tried my best not to read any spoilers, but my heart tells me that Tory needs to end up with Darius. Who knows, maybe they even are Elysian Mates.

“It’s not a big deal,�� I said as Darcy waited for her answer expectantly. “Seriously, it was just a bit of fun.��
“Well I’m guessing this bit of fun has a name,�� she teased.

And I think even Tory knows this. But I can't blame her for her... "fun".

And I'm telling you, my heart belongs to them. Entirely.

“The hunt's started, I should go and join them.��
“Be careful,�� I whispered.
He looked back at me with a frown and something broken and desperate shone from his eyes for a moment. “Stop looking at me like that,��
“Like what?��
“You know what,�� he snapped. “I'm your teacher.��
“I know.��
“Do you?�� he stepped forward.
I nodded firmly, though I wasn't sure my body was getting the message because I had the urge to wrap myself around him and kiss him goodbye.
“Then stop looking at me like that.��
“Then stop looking back, Lance.��

This was the point I knew I'll ship them without a hint of doubt. And the kiss in the pool? After all the teasing and tension? It stole whatever was left of my heart.

“Have I told you have exceptionally beautiful you look tonight, Darcy?��

Help me, I'm melting here.

•Tory and Darius - the slow burn that will kill me

“Do you hate me, then?�� he asked quietly and for some strange reason it sounded like the idea of that didn’t sit well with him.
“No,�� I said and a glimmer of relief spilled through his eyes. “To hate you, I’d have to care about you. And I don’t give one shit about you,�� I said coldly.

If they aren't the best enemies to lovers, I don't know who is. The way Darius is struggling to handle his father, his heritage as an heir, his feelings for Tory and everything is literally overwhelming. And I love the love-hate thing they're having. But if they don't end up together in the end, I'm gonna cry for days, because they are simply perfect for each other. Oh, and the jealousy Darius seems to not be able to hide? I love it even more.

6️⃣ Another mine of gold is Orion's snarkiness. I didn’t expect this from him after the first book.

“Shut the fuck up!�� Orion shouted. “I'm trying to concentrate here.��
“Watching porn again, sir?�� Seth shot at him with a smirk.
“Yeah, your mom's really improved since the last edition,�� he answered without missing a beat and Seth's face dropped into a scowl as a laugh tore from my throat.

7️⃣ The party thrown by Lionel Acrux, where Tory and Darcy meet the Celestial Council? That is a legit roller-coaster.

"Looks like we’ll be having dinner with the devil next Saturday night then."

Those chapters were sooooo full of great moments that I'll have them engraved on my ceiling and read them over and over.

Caleb, Seth and Max sniggered as Mildred leaned in for a kiss and Darius only managed to stop her at the last second by planting his palm on her forehead with a loud clap.
“Not before the wedding,�� he said firmly and I looked at Tory who was falling into a fit of silent laughter, clutching her side.

Bonus points for this scene with Darius' "fiancé".

8️⃣ Did I get a chance to mention the Siren Song? Because that was another Ruby in the Crown of amazing things these book delivered.

“On the lips?�� I checked, hoping for a way out.
“No, on my ass,�� he joked. “Want me to bend over?��
“That might be preferable to your face,�� I deadpanned.
“Come on,�� he said, moving closer again, clearly wanting this over with.

You'll get it when you read it, but damn, I laughed and, at the same time, I fell a little for Max.

9️⃣ The Pitball - brilliant. Whoever thought Quiditch was brutal, needs to read this. It was the first time since Harry Potter when I actually enjoyed reading a scene involving games.

“This game is crazy,�� Darcy breathed, her eyes wide with the thrill of it.
“I think I love it,�� I agreed. ��

🔟 The ending. Just like the whole book, it's a roller-coaster and you're left hanging upside-down, waiting for the engine to start again.

“Are you saying you want to try for your claim after all?�� Seth asked, his tone laced with surprise.
“It’s not our claim,�� I countered darkly.
“It’s our birthright,�� Darcy finished.
“Alright then,�� Darius said darkly. “If you want it then you’ll have to fight for it.��
“And crawl up out of the gutter to claim it,�� Max added.
“Then strive to keep it every, single, day,�� Caleb growled.
“So you’d better be ready,�� Seth hissed."
