Great addition to the KINGS OF NEW YORK series. Sawyer flees home and finds herself in NYC to meet estranged family. Hilarity ensues but quickly turns into a fast paced, not-so-funny, mafia romance. I loved Sawyer and Jake’s chemistry. Their back and forth jabs, even while being under fire, was hysterical. While this does not end on a cliffhanger, I was left wanting more of this couple. Loved the cameos from the first two books AND I DO BELIEVE there are some other characters whose stories need to be told. Fingers crossed.

Early in the book journey: “Ok, I get it. This baby-moon is going to go sideways.
Chapter 21: “W.T.A.F am I reading??!!
Chapter 22: “Ohhhh, this is the twist we’re going with.
In true KMod fashion, as soon as you think you know how Sadie and Cal’s story is going to play out, she reveals her twisted little plans for all involved. Brilliant. ]]>

3.5- 4 stars

The chemistry between Fleur and Bastien is palpable. I love that Fleur is a strong and independent FMC. She knows her worth and won’t settle for less. Bastien is well, Bastien. Crime boss, hot as all HE🏒🏒 and I can’t help but swoon every time he calls her “his woman. I was left shocked at the end, not because of a cliffhanger but because I had no clue this was a series. I can’t wait to read THE CARVER. ]]>

I was so excited to get my hands on this one but started questioning my excitement after reading a handful of reviews. After reading, it just reminded me of why I don’t let other people’s reviews influence how a book makes ME feel. HEART OF THE SUN held my attention from start to finish. It really makes you think about what you would do should a disaster hit the world today. The narrators did a beautiful job of bringing Tuck and Emily to life. The emotions in their voices really made you feel like you were there with them. I would have loved to see a bit more of their relationship when they were younger. Even though the epilogue did leave me hopeful for their future, I would’ve loved to have it been set a bit more into the future.
