Somehow another I missed book 9 in the series. But I’m glad I got a chance to catch up. Ms. Neal is probably one of the best writers I read this kind of book. I always look forward to new ones coming out. You can’t go wrong by reading any of her books in order or out of order they are standalone."

"I really enjoyed this book! It’s mostly set on the Q train in NYC and I have ridden it many times so ithe familiar setting was fun. It also opened my eyes to when a person disappears how the people they leave behind are affected. I learned a great deal about the struggles of the LGBTQ+ community in the 70s and am hoping we’re not headed back to those narrow minded, hateful days. My biggest complaint is the ending!! No surprise to my followers as I am frequently irked by rushed endings. In this case, (view spoiler)[ instead of making the readers mourn for August and Jane those last couple chapters, shorten that angst and show us Jane finally going home to SF. And poor Augie, would have been nice to see he survived and was living a lovely life. (hide spoiler)]"
