There is no rule that romance has to end in an HEA.

Love is messy and complicated. Even in the realm of vampires and humans. I knew going in, reading the book and listening to the audio, that this wasn’t an HEA, but it never prepares you for when the time comes. I loved the 90s theme and maybe a nod to The Lost Boys (one of my favorite vampire movies) with some Twilight sprinkled in. Don’t let that fool you as it is very much its own portrayal of one of the greatest monster/paranormal genres, the brooding vampire. The Stockholm Syndrome even had me convinced. Definitely check your TWs, because there is a lot of heavy content. It seems like there could be a potential for book two and if so I’ll be first in line to read it. This was a beautifully written story so full of emotion. Narrators Janine Granda and Joe Arden a phenomenal job.
