This was ALMOST a five. The build up is top notch but the payoff is a bit underwhelming. However, it has amazing plot twists, different storylines that make sense and keep it interesting, and theology —which was unexpected and I ended up learning a lot. 4.5 I need more books like this that keep me at the edge of my seat. Intrigue, murder, religion, runaway wives, married priests, Vatican secrets, theology. Loved it!!!
