Heart of Ice by Elizabeth Rose
"Will MacKay Melt Her Heart?

This crazy fast paced fairytale retelling was funny and entertaining! It's best of the series as far as I'm concerned! Lol. "

Heart of Ice by Elizabeth Rose
"No disappointment with Snow Queen!

I loved the story of MacKay and the Snow Queen. Elizabeth Rose has a wonderful gift of making fairy tales interesting and exciting. As the darkness controls Mackay, Eira becomes more attractive to him. Suspense builds until the last page. "

Heart of Ice by Elizabeth Rose
"I loved this story. An ice queen who loses her heart to a man whose heart is slowly growing dark. Funny thing is McKay only wants his wife when she is being surly, such as one funny part, which you have to read to find out. A surprise ending involving two witches, Hecuba and her daughter. "

Hi everyone!
It's almost time for the release on Marrying the Midwife. If you don't already know, I like to push the envelope when I write, as well as to create strong women characters.

All the books in the Below the Salt Series have to do with nobles falling in love with and marrying commoners, which was not allowed back in medieval times. Marriages were done for alliances or to acquire wealth and safety. Women couldn't choose who they'd marry. That decision was made for them. Since girls married at a very young age (they all had much shorter lifespans back then) they were expected to start producing heirs right away. (Even if they were married off to a man who was much older.) Plus, they all wanted boys back then. An heir and a spare as I'm sure you've heard before.
This series is a second generation series, about the grown up children of my four main characters who are siblings in my Legacy of the Blade Series.

My question to you: Do you like reading books about strong women and stories that push the envelope and go beyond the norms of that time? ]]>
