Well, that was� a journey. I went in ready to be obsessed!! - But I’m not!
Somewhere between the dramatic brooding, all the history, and the oh-so-obvious plot twists, I realized I could predict this book as if I wrote it myself.

And then—the soul bond BREAKS? Whatttttt?I didn’t emotionally invest for you to just cut the cord like we weren’t all mentally wedding planning. I took 2 days off from reading after that.

That said, I didn’t hate it. It had its moments, especially if you’re in the mood for a cozy fantasy with characters who love walking directly into danger and have a lot to prove.

This book felt really familiar. I can’t put my finger on it.

4.5 Stars (But Let’s Be Real� the Audiobook Carried)

I don’t hand out 5 stars easily, but this audiobook? Phenomenal. The narration brought the characters to life in a way that sold the entire story to me. The voices for the guys were great. Although Gypsy Blood narrator did it better. If I’d read the physical copy, it probably would’ve landed at a solid 3.5/5 � enjoyable but not as immersive.

That said, this is exactly my kind of book. The Never List was the perfect romantasy to pull me back into the “why choose� world. Yummmmm! After falling hard for the Gypsy Blood series (BEST RH SERIES EVER) with Emit, Vance, Damien, and Arion swooning over Violet � this hit the spot. The spice was very present but balanced with plot (think Gypsy Blood, not Court of the Vampire Queen where it felt like straight-up sex on paper). Yeah I didn’t like the ending, I’m a bit confused- what was that?! I did see some plot holes and wished the author dove more into the story or just expanded on some underlying themes � but I’m only here for the ride. I enjoyed this book!
