Every piece is at least worth a read, and many are thrilling. William Rankin's excerpt from The Man Who Rode the Thunder in particular has really stuck with me. Good mix of between air and space, and perspectives as well, to keep it from ever getting repetitive. ]]>

I did like that this was tonally different from everything else Marvel has done with the Alien franchise so far. Also kind of fun to see Burke as a bumbling stooge with a heart of gold rather than the vindictive corporate asshole he is in the film. Though he gets much better later, Daniel Warren Johnson's art is good and a perfect fit for what this book is trying to be. The story is pretty stupid and really underdeveloped, with several of the few actual plot points never going anywhere. ]]>
