CoTN is a dark, gritty future, but the colors are too bright. Hard-boiled PI with a dark past gets a case that the authorities won't touch, when someone is disappearing street kids. John used to be a cop, a Samurai, but they are all gone now and he's on his own, with a few friends, a few contacts, and a lot of moxie.

Part One takes you right to the edge of the wastelands, just as you and he are about to step out into the bad places where your life isn't worth the watch on your wrist.
