Although this book can be slow and confusing in terms of the plot at the beginning, I think the way it develops in the second part, and as a whole, is remarkable. Reading introductions, or synopsis, is not part of my usual practice when I read, specially a novel, and this time was perfect because I encountered almost half way within the novel that I was reading a Sci-Fi novel. Unlike many sci-fi, Kazuo Ishiguro does not spend much time painting the future world, but he allows it to unfold naturally and with the minimum necessary element for us to understand the context.

If I have to say a single reason why I think this is a good novel, I would say because reading it makes you feel desolation, despair, love, nostalgia, indirectly and trough the eyes of beings that are not precisely humans, but that have the necessary traits within them to awake the empathy we feel for our kind.

Much of the atmosphere, of the feeling of the past linked to childhood, and the development of life towards the objectivization of the body, can be something that touches all of us.¿ to a certain extent.
