This is a very readable and entertaining book on geopolitics that will help you to understand better some of the events and conflicts we are witnessing today. The only drawback I find about it is that the first edition was published in 2015 –ten years old now��, but my edition has updates here and there going as far as 2019.

Bye-bye. Sayonara, baby. El libro tiene 568 páginas, y yo, llegado a la 186, he decidido que la vida es corta y no puedo tolerar seguir aburriéndome más. Inicié esta lectura por ser lingüista de formación y, consecuentemente, interesarme por todo lo que tiene que ver con la lengua. Pero este libro, a pesar de exponer contundentemente una hipótesis sobre cosas todavía desconocidas en lo que sabemos sobre nuestros orígenes indo-europeos, tiene que ver con arqueología. Y estoy hasta las mismísimas de pasar por páginas a tutiplén sin parar de mencionar tumbas prehistóricas tipo Villaberzas-III o Khvilmeskaya-I. Que si en una de ellas, el muerto tenía un anillo de cobre. O que si la datación por carbono sugería que buena parte de su dieta consistió en pescado.

Voy a cambiar de tercio en mis próximas lecturas.
