The area of gut health remains a little mysterious perhaps due to the lack of research and investment in this area. This book tries to present a good picture of the various actors involved, what we know and what we don't.

I found that the text was somewhat overloaded with terms at times and regularly became boring. Perhaps I was expecting it to be more readable as in more entertaining maybe more practical and actionable insights or advice. A more accomplished writer could have made the topic more interesting.
