bookshelves: memoir, books-that-i-wish-i-hadn-t-read, horrible-books, i-want-a-refund, i-want-my-time-back
I read the ebook on a Kindle and it’s awful. The sex is good but the rest of the book is horrible.

First the times or timelines for the story are all over the place and while this seems to take place in the mid 2010’s up to and perhaps after 2016 never is when this takes place specified.

Many stories end abruptly and it isn’t clear if she and Manny were dating before they became personal trainers or after.

Stories from Ashleigh’s childhood happened at age 4, 11 or 17 and no other ages 🤦🏻‍♂.

The comparisons about life, loving, to nature all seem forced and then begin to ramble.

As a father of competitive figure skaters, one who went to Nationals twice, I know figure skating coaches and they live in a bubble of having never had a real adult job and this seems to describe Ashleigh too.

Ashleigh seems quite immature and my guess is married and had children before being fully mentally mature and therefore her marriage struggled.

Amber was introduced from nowhere and then Ashleigh introduces politics related to Brad, C’mon Man, get over it and realize that half of the US population believes differently than you and just get over it and try to find commonality and maybe try to engage in debate and maybe you may change your beliefs on some things or maybe you won’t.

Again, this book is horrible, I wish I had not read it and I cannot recommend it. ]]>

I listened to the audiobook and it’s pretty good.

This book is packed with some real world examples and academic and sometimes rigged experiments.

I definitely recommend this book. ]]>

bookshelves: america, combat, history, military, the-greatest-generation, us-army, us-navy, usaf, vietnam-war, veterans-issues, war, world-war-ii, aviation, leadership, marines, world-war-i
I read the book and it is packed with stories of pilots and air aces of both WWI and WWII.

The stories detail each pilot and how he became a pilot, entered the service and his combat experience and usually number of kills and any disputes. The stories also detailed the pilots untimely demise at the hands of his adversary, the weather, mechanical difficulties, navigation issues, accidents, or just running out of fuel or if they survived the war then about their lives after returning to the civilian world.

This book includes pilots from Britain, Canada, France, Poland, South Africa, The United States of America, and Germany.

The book also includes some other stories and naval battles of which I was unfamiliar.

I highly recommend this book. ]]>
