Even though I sympathized with Gadiel’s depression (the causes of it), I didn’t really think much of this book. It wasn’t bad, just a solid 3 stars, up until near the end where Gadiel was about to get on the plane. That scene made me shed a few tears lol. It was interesting to see what was happening with Gadiel while Zain was busy falling for Aiden. Also, as the book went on, I disliked Scott more and more. I did NOT sympathize with him not being chosen by Gadiel. Really good

I didn’t take issue with much except for the tomfoolery involved in the police work and that he didn’t get sentenced to death. But I’m glad I bought it. I’d seen a one hour show about this and there was way, way more actual information than what could be fit into an hour. This was really well written.
P.S. Look up John Norman Collins (the killer’s real name; real names aren’t used here). The writing was vague in places, so for me it was hard to tell if Everett already knew how Alex felt and if Everett felt the same. And how much the family knew. But it was written in such a way that I could definitely sympathize with Alex’s mental health struggles.
